There are two ways to display your avatar's coordinates:
Your avatar's current coordinates within a zone can be displayed by either of the following methods:
* One-time display - typing "/loc" in chat (without the quotes) will show a response in chat that will give a one-time listing of your avatar's coordinates (as well as the name of the zone that your avatar is currently in). It also copies the same information to your clipboard.

Position coordinates are given in the order of X, Z, Y (X is East-West, Z is elevation/height, Y is North-South).

Coordinates for the Avatar (& Location Tracking)[edit]

Your avatar's current coordinates within a zone can be displayed by either of the following methods:

  • One-time display - typing "/loc" in chat (without the quotes) will show a response in chat that will give a one-time listing of your avatar's coordinates (as well as the name of the zone that your avatar is currently in). It also copies the same information to your clipboard.
  • Continuous (real-time) display - this display can be toggled on/off by typing "/loctrack" in chat (without the quotes). The coordinates are displayed in the upper left of the game window, and they change continuously (in real-time) as the avatar moves. The display also shows name of the zone that your avatar is currently in.

Coordinates can be useful to find a specific location. For example, the Easter Egg Thread in the SOTA forums will often give coordinates for the location of the Easter Egg.

Coordinates are automatically included in bug reports if you type in chat the "/bug" command on the live server or the "/devbug" command on the QA server.
