The Breach is an adventure scene in the lands of Mistrendur and is available to players with Episode 2 Access.
Beware of the Durability debuff: The fire and water elementals in this zone have an attack that can apply a debuff on you that reduces armor and weapon durability effectiveness by 50% for 30 seconds.
- When a water elemental puts this debuff on you, the debuff is called Rust.
- When a fire elemental puts this debuff on you, the debuff is called Weaken Metal (Fire).
The debuff shows up as an icon under your health bar. If the "Rust" or "Weaken Metal (Fire)" debuff has been applied to you, you may consider avoiding physical attacks until the debuff expires in order to minimize damage to your gear. Also, if you can keep the elementals stunned, they cannot apply the debuff because they cannot attack.
Unique Characteristics & Loot in the Breach[edit]
The special characteristics of The Breach are:
- 4 boss elementals that always spawn
- Rare and/or unique creatures that have a low chance to spawn
- A wave battle (which is triggered by killing the 4 boss elementals)
- A unique creature that spawns in the wave battle (Spawn of Pele)
- Unique loot that drops in The Breach:
For details about all of the special characteristics, see below.
4 Boss Elemetals that Always Spawn (Not Part of Wave Battle)[edit]
There are 4 boss elementals in the Breach that always spawn (i.e. they are not part of a triggered wave battle). Each of these boss elementals always spawn in the same location.
Each boss elemental above has a 10 minute respawn timer.
All of these boss elementals are immune to poison.
The Lord of Earth and Lord of Air are less susceptible to physical attacks, whereas the Lord of Fire and the Lord of Water are less susceptible to magical attacks. If you kill all 4 of these boss elementals and then go to the Central Pavilion in under 10 minutes, it triggers a wave battle in the center of the zone (see below).
Rare &/or Unique Creatures (Not Part of Wave Battle)[edit]
The Breach has several unique and/or rare spawns:
- Purple Llama (An Energy Vortex) (extremely rare spawn)
- Gold Clockwork Dragon (very rare spawn)
- Blackened Clockwork Dragon (moderately rare spawn)
- Dolorast Vrul, a daemon (moderately rare spawn)
- K'kongg, a large clockwork Monkey (uncommon spawn)
The creatures above seem to spawn randomly (i.e. there appears to be no trigger). The Gold and Blackened Clockwork dragons only spawn in The Breach, and cannot be found in any other zone.
The Wave Battle[edit]
The Wave Battle occurs at an area with 5 circular stone pads that are surrounded by pillars (this area shows up as a point of interest on the compass called the "Central Pavillion"). To trigger the wave battle, kill all 4 boss elementals and then go to the "Central Pavilion" in under 10 minutes (the timer starts when the first elemental is killed). Note: Wrauk, Lord of Earth often takes the longest to kill, so it may be best to kill Wrauk first to make it easier to get under the 10 minute time limit.
It takes a little while for the first wave to start (maybe 20 seconds). There will be 2 waves: the first wave consists of Greater Daemons, 4 more boss elementals (Gael, Wrauk, Pyre, and Brign), and 4 obsidian shards. When the first wave has all been killed (including the shards), the second wave will spawn with Ancient Ferocious Obsidian Golems, Spawn of Pele, Greater Daemons, 4 obsidian shards, and many mid level Water Elementals.
The Spawn of Pele is a boss lava elemental that appears in the second wave, is unique to The Breach, and cannot be found in any other zone.
Each of the obsidian shards has an area of effect buff on the nearby enemies. To avoid having to fight creatures that have been buffed by the shards, you can either kill the shards or lure the creatures far enough away from the shards such that they are outside the area of effect. The shard buffs show up as icons under the monster's health bar.
Unique Loot in The Breach[edit]
- Recipe: Potion of the Stalking Cat, Aether - drops as loot from Greater Daemons that spawn in the wave battle at The Breach. It may be possible that Spawn of Pele also drops this recipe. This recipe can only be obtained in The Breach.
- Belt of the Dedicated - drops as loot from Wrauk, Lord of Earth. This artifact can only be obtained in The Breach.
- Obsidian Band - drops from Pyre, Lord of Fire (Pyre is the only monster that drops the Obsidian Band, but a common Obsidian Band will rarely drop as loot from wooden chests in Hilt Fortress - see Obsidian Forge Recipes for locations of the chests).
Points of interest[edit]
- Central Pavilion
- South Tower
- North Tower
- West Docks
- Exit (this is the East Exit, but it is labelled only as "exit")

Trivia[edit]
- This PvE scene is a modified version of Dysborg Ruins, a PvP scene located along the shores of the Naryad Channel. Much of the terrain has been altered to provide a chilly arctic feel with more visual changes to come during development. A dark and foreboding fog accompanied by frequent lightning strikes will most certainly put adventurers ill at ease! The Breach will also feature improved performance over Dysborg Ruins, and the creature spawns will be expanded considerably. For players to best the creatures and wave event within The Breach, team-oriented tactics must also be employed!
- Chris “Atos” Spears has created a new style of boss encounter which can only be experienced in The Breach.
