It has a rich history starting and continuing in Ultima Online since 1998. Now also in SotA since April 24, 2014, PaxLair builds a new city for players to create and enjoy. The City of PaxLair, often simply called PaxLair, is located east of Brittany at the mouth of the Brisach River spilling into Spindrift Bay in the Grunvald region of Novia. PaxLair is a cultural, economic, and historical center where many citizens and guilds enjoy peace and prosperity.

PaxLair is a consolidated city divided into 10 boroughs: Caelestis Canton, Dragons Watch, Golden Cove, Islands of Wonders, Knowhere, Lockbrier, PaxLair, Sea Nymph Grotto, Serenity Isle, and Tenakill. PaxLair is the governing central borough and also the name of the consolidated city.
