- In Sword of Midras, as the ship from leave Etceter to the Ash Coast of South Paladis, they spy "Spindrift Island" in the northern Bay of Storms. The Barons of Etceter long ago had named the island cursed, and decreed that no one should ever make landfall there. However, it is likely that this should have been a reference to Penmawr Island.
