	I question "It also seems to prevents its wielder from attacking with it...". I don't think the sword directly stops him from attacking people it just gives him intimate knowledge and insight about a person. And once he knows them that well he can't bring himself to kill them. (which is why Karpasic freaked out when he had the sword.
