Editing Words of Power

All spells are cast by invoking words of power. These words have to be spoken when activating the spell, in order to power of the forces being utilized. The correct combination of the syllables, combined with the proper [[reagent]]s, is what defines the spell. Following are the known words of power, and their meanings.

There are 26 pseudo-Latin morphemes echoed by players when spells are cast. Tier 1 spells have one morpheme, Tier 2 spells have two morphemes, and Tier 3 spells have three morphemes. For example, [[Healing Touch]] is ''Reno'', [[Healing Ray]] is ''Asen Reno'', and [[Healing Burst]] is ''Wast Gaus Reno''

* Spells in the Ultima series have always used words of power. In [[ultima:Ultima I|''Ultima I'']] and [[ultima:Ultima III|''Ultima III'']], these [[ultima:Sosarian_Magic|invocations]] were Latin-like, however since [[ultima:Ultima IV|''Ultima IV'']] the [[ultima:Britannian_Magic#Words_of_Power|words of power]] were standardized and codified.
