Minor repairs, which use a repair kit, are performed on non-artifact, non-relic items that can equipped on the Character Sheet or Pet Character Sheet. * To repair an artifact, see Artifact. * To repair a tool, see Tools. * Relics cannot be repaired; however, non-relic Pet Equipment can undergo minor repair. A minor repair, which requires the use of an appropriate Repair Kit, will increase the Current Durability of a non-Artifact item, but it does not increase Durability achievable with Minor Repairs. There is no limit on the number of minor repairs you can perform on an item, and there is no drawback to performing these minor repairs. You can apply multiple back-to-back minor repairs, but the current durability will not exceed the Durability achievable with Minor Repairs. ==Ways to Perform a Minor Repair== A minor repair can be performed in two ways: * At a crafting table - the Repair Kit and the item that needs repair are placed on the appropriate crafting table, and then the "Repair Item (Minor)" recipe is used to craft the repaired item. This type of repair requires having learned the appropriate Repair Skill (see Blacksmithing Repair, Carpentry Repair, and Tailoring Repair). Also, when you perform this type of repair, it will train the corresponding repair skill (if you have the skill set to train). A higher repair skill will increase the amount added to Current Durability when you perform a repair at a corresponding crafting station. * In the field - this type of repair does not require a crafting table, nor does it require a specific skill. You can either drag the appropriate Repair Kit onto the item or right-click the item and choose "Repair". This type of repair can only be done when out of Combat stance, and when you have the appropriate repair kit in your inventory. Performing this type of repair will not train any of the Repair Skills. ==Factors Influencing the Amount of Durability Restored By Minor Repair== For a minor repair, the amount added to Current Durability depends on the following factors: * Minor repairs performed at a crafting table will increase current durability more than minor repairs performed in the field. * For minor repairs performed at a crafting table, a higher relevant repair proficiency skill will result in a greater increase in Current Durability. ** Blacksmithing Repair Proficiency ** Carpentry Repair Proficiency ** Tailoring Repair Proficiency * The exact amount of durability that is added depends on the value of an item: a minor repair will add less Current Durability when an item has a higher value (due to the rare and exotic materials used in their construction). * Obsidian Potion of Reclamation - this increases the level of all repair proficiency skills. ==When to Perform Minor Repair Versus Major Repair== It is most efficient to repair items with a Minor Repair until the Durability achievable with Minor Repairs is zero (or close to zero), then perform a Major Repair. <br clear="all"/> == Recipe == ==See Also== * Repair Kit * Repair Item (Major) * Durability * To repair an artifact, see Artifact.
