This is a [[Daily Quests | Daily Quest]] in [[Lord British's Castle (Invasion)]]. 
To start the quest, talk to [[Captain Marisha]], who is usually standing behind a barricade just inside the castle walls. She will tell you to collect the Brittle Copies of the Vault Key. 

The keys can be found in sacks, chests, on dead bodies, or on killed creatures within the Lord British's Castle zone. There are 3 different variations of this key numbered from 1 to 3. In order to obtain keys 2 and 3, you must to progress further through the progressively harder wave battles.

These keys can either be returned to Captain Marisha for a reward (as part of a [[Daily Quests | Daily Quest]]) or they can be used to enter Lord British's vault.

* Returning the Keys to Captain Marisha - for each Brittle Copy Vault Key that you return to Captain Marisha, your avatar's virtue will be positively effected and Captain Marisha will give you a reward (you do not have to give her all 3 keys at the same time; each key can be given to her separately).
** If you return Key #1, the reward is a [[Ring of Jones, Common]], gold, and 25,600 experience points (or 51,200 during double XP).
** If you return Key #2, the reward is a [[Belt of the Brutal Butcher, Common]], gold, and 40960 experience points (or 81,920 during double XP).
** If you return Key #3, the reward is a [[Belt of the Patient Harvester, Common]], gold, and 53,248 experience points (or 106,496 during double XP).

* Using the Keys to Open Lord British's Vault - in this case you do not get any reward when you use the keys. All 3 keys are required to enter the vault, with each key opening a separate door. Using the keys to enter the vault may result in a negative impact on your avatar's virtue (although this has not been confirmed). Getting into the vault will give you access to one way of returning the encoded cards, which are part of the [[Recover 3 Encoded Cards]] daily quest (returning the cards in the Vault will negatively impact on your avatar's virtue).
