{{PAGENAME}} is a title that refers to the founder of the [[Obsidian Empire]] and subsequent members of the [[Cabal of Obsidians]] that are also given this position (also known as the Seventh Throne). It can also refer to lenses known as [[Obsidian Eyes]].

==Overview==
The original name of the {{PAGENAME}} who founded the [[Obsidian Empire]] is unknown. Little it known of him. He was an orphan in a small village on the [[River Meino]], near [[Rhun]], where he stole the book known as [[Lamentation of the Fall]], although he could not read it at the time. He had a talent for conjuring and shaping magic and used it to aid farmers and travelers in the village.<ref name="BotA-page-2">[[Blade of the Avatar/Sword of Midras|The Sword of Midras]], page 2.</ref>

After he stole the book, he crossed the [[Vaughban Mountains]] into the [[Grunvald]] plain, eventually finding the first of the [[Shard Fall]]s. Over time, he mastered this new magick, and others with the gift came to apprentice to him, eventually growing into the [[Obsidian Cabal]].<ref name="BotA-page-2"></ref>

From his chamber in [[The Epitaph]] he used the [[Destiny Pool]] to foretell the [[Prophecy of the Obsidian Eye]], which he believes meant the world was in chaos and Obsidian order should return it to order.<ref name="BotA-page-3">[[Blade of the Avatar/Sword of Midras|The Sword of Midras]], page 3.</ref>
