PAGENAME is only found on Obsidian Plate Armor (the effect arises from the Obsidian Sheets used to craft this armor, which have Melee Damage Reflection as a material bonus). PAGENAME produces the following effect: If your avatar takes melee damage, a portion of that damage is also inflicted upon your attacker (in other words, a percentage of the damage you sustain is "reflected" back upon your opponent). Note that this effect applies <span style="color:fuchsia">only to melee damage</span>; therefore, any damage you sustain from ranged attacks, magic attacks, or bard songs will not be reflected onto your opponent. For example, damage reflection will not occur for magic attacks such as stone fist, ice fist, fire arrow, earthquake, etc. When the Avatar sustains a melee attack that inflicts damage-over-time (such as Rend or Puncture), then the reflected damage occurs not only for the initial strike, but also for every tick of damage over time. Here is an example from the combat logs. The Avatar was wearing a full set of Obsidian Plate Armor, which will provide a total of 20% Melee Damage Reflection. In the combat logs, the damage reflected onto your opponent is listed first, followed by the damage done to you. *[9:37 AM] Obsidian Bear takes 10 points of damage. *[9:37 AM] Obsidian Bear attacks Avatar and hits, dealing 52 points of critical damage. So, the bear inflicted 52 points of damage upon the Avatar, and the 20% Melee Damage Reflection resulted in 10 damage to the Obsidian Bear (52 x 0.2 = 10.4, which is rounded to nearest integer of 10). The minimum amount of damage that can be reflected is 1. So, if I have a Melee Damage Reflection of 20%, and I sustain 2 points of damage, the damage reflected onto my opponent will be 1 (2 x 0.2 = 0.4, which is adjusted to 1 because the minimum reflected damage is 1). This can be seen in the combat chat logs below: *[9:36 AM] Obsidian Bear takes 1 point of damage. *[9:36 AM] Obsidian Bear attacks Avatar and hits, dealing 2 points of glancing damage due to armor. ==See Also== * Obsidian Plate Armor * Obsidian Sheet
