 04:49 to jump on the livestream and talk about
 04:52 a lot of the things that are in last was
 04:55 in last week's update and is in this
 04:58 week's update as well some of the items
 04:59 he's putting into the game that are
 05:01 dusted Yuletide related holiday related
 05:04 and a lot of great stuff for decorating
 05:07 your homes and so will give away some of
 05:11 those items next week because the
 05:15 release which those items are going into
 05:17 it's not quite here yet it's gonna be
 05:19 next week and I think star you'll talk
 05:21 more about that so when should roll in
 05:22 your new stuff yes so the release is
 05:25 next week and your Savior so wait what
 05:28 release next week but it's only the
 05:31 middle of the month it's not the end of
 05:33 the month that's right why is that I'm
 05:37 glad you asked Lord British indeed do it
 05:41 elucidates well it is the end of the
 05:44 year
 05:45 November and December and November and
 05:47 December each year we do our releases a
 05:50 little bit early because it is the
 05:52 holiday season it is Thanksgiving and
 05:56 Christmas and in order
 05:59 we are not Scrooge's to believe I know
 06:03 it I know it is hard to believe but we
 06:06 actually let our team have holidays so
 06:10 we actually take off time for
 06:13 Thanksgiving and Christmas and in order
 06:15 for us to get the releases out and and
 06:19 in before the holidays and have time to
 06:23 make sure everything's okay and in our
 06:25 patches out and everything we put the
 06:26 releases out well before the holidays so
 06:28 that means that the November and
 06:31 December release has happen at the
 06:33 middle of the month not at the end of
 06:36 the month so surprise surprise November
 06:40 and December releases happen in the
 06:42 middle of the month that means that the
 06:44 next release is happening next 30 nice
 06:47 tweak so next Thursday release 48 goes
 06:50 live and somehow though even though this
 06:54 was a short release literally it was
 06:56 just like instead of our like three to
 06:59 four weeks of development it was only
 07:00 two weeks of development but my team
 07:03 without telling me
 07:05 somehow bent time and space and got
 07:10 basically the same amount of work done
 07:12 that they get in a normal release
 07:13 America yeah it was it was it was a
 07:17 holiday marriage and that if we if you
 07:21 see the release notes and they're up on
 07:23 the in the QA section of the forum's in
 07:25 it and actually the release is up on our
 07:27 QA server so please jump in and help us
 07:29 test on the QA servers and ahead of live
 07:33 to help us get all the bugs out but you
 07:35 can see how much we got done this
 07:37 release and it's really incredible so we
 07:40 got three new minds in some low-level
 07:44 minds so for the first time there's
 07:46 gonna be low-level minds from little
 07:47 characters we got some polish
 07:50 done to the end of the game where are
 07:53 you actually now whoo that's a spoiler I
 07:55 don't know if I joke dude
 07:57 there's some extra steps you have to do
 07:59 related to the path and the Oracle and
 08:01 the lenses I almost gave away that
 08:04 correct yeah yes I read them up right
 08:06 there yeah
 08:08 and so the virtue gear is going in the
 08:12 game so the first few pieces the chest
 08:15 and held pieces so side quests related
 08:18 to those are going in and those are all
 08:20 to get those are all virtue quests so
 08:23 yeah and in fact you know I believe I
 08:25 believe the one things I'm really
 08:27 excited about about these months is
 08:29 you've all heard me say this before if
 08:31 you've heard me talk much on these which
 08:33 is 80% of the true quality of a bit of a
 08:36 game of how what you experienced at the
 08:38 quality of game goes in and the last 20%
 08:40 of the time that's normal normal normal
 08:43 and so I think you can be very excited I
 08:46 know I'm very excited about these last
 08:47 releases because that's when we go back
 08:50 and when you give us feedback and we see
 08:52 on our own with our own testing too when
 08:53 we go like hey you know this past so
 08:55 easy this one's too hard the balance is
 08:57 off I don't feel virtuous enough I'm not
 09:00 being challenged enough on my virtues
 09:02 those are all the things are really easy
 09:04 for us to go back and address once all
 09:08 the main systems are in and so by the
 09:10 way for those of you that already plowed
 09:11 through the story and like a number of
 09:13 people already have their shrouds you
 09:16 know you're gonna have a great time
 09:17 getting a chance to go back through and
 09:18 playing this again because it made
 09:19 completely a dramatically revamped
 09:23 experience already in these areas that's
 09:25 been back on back to being a bit touched
 09:27 and so I'm very excited about not just
 09:30 paths with the Oracle but all of the
 09:31 outskirts which are still being refined
 09:33 that are now getting in all these really
 09:35 much stronger virtue path tests
 09:38 much more inclusion of traps much more
 09:41 inclusion of puzzles that are out there
 09:43 from the beginning to the end of the
 09:45 game so it's very excited yeah and more
 09:48 unique and unique components so last
 09:53 release was the first time that we
 09:54 started adding in the unique components
 09:56 so we got the elven bow strings but
 09:59 there's a whole new set of those
 10:02 including
 10:03 ones that you're gonna get even on
 10:05 low-level humanoids that you fight so
 10:09 like banded daggers and banded swords
 10:11 and things like that that you can break
 10:12 down and salvaged to get components out
 10:14 of that you can use and crafting so a
 10:16 lot more of that also a big one that's
 10:20 going in is decay now happens at the
 10:23 point of revive not at the point of
 10:26 death and along with that we knew if you
 10:29 use the resurrection spell it's a 50%
 10:32 reduction in decay so there's a big
 10:35 bonus to grouping with somebody who has
 10:37 a resurrection spell because if they use
 10:40 resurrection there's a lot less decay
 10:42 apply so a big bonus to grouping there
 10:45 and there's a whole bunch of other stuff
 10:46 but you'll you'll get to see all about
 10:48 it it's very very cool you know they're
 10:50 staying here and chat that now that we
 10:52 managed to get a release and half the
 10:54 time that means we can do double time
 10:55 next time I know that's what exactly
 10:58 what I was totally my team in stand ups
 10:59 today that they worked so hard because
 11:04 now there's expectations to my so I was
 11:07 very disappointed in them and also just
 11:10 lots of of course lots the other thing
 11:12 that's going in is lots of Yuletide
 11:15 themed items so you'll trees and boxes
 11:20 and Garland's and all sorts of cool
 11:21 stuff like that
 11:22 and oh and it's Movember so I can see oh
 11:26 this thing yeah it's starting to come
 11:27 back it's hard to see there because it's
 11:30 still early and I'm a little gray so
 11:34 it's hard to see there but my my stache
 11:37 is coming in because it's Movember and
 11:38 we're raising funds for the Movember
 11:41 foundation and you can join our move-in
 11:44 routine the moustache of the avatar or
 11:47 you can donate whichever you'd like a
 11:49 moustache worth it well it's elbows -
 11:54 but you pronounced message but a we
 11:58 added some items to the Movember store
 12:00 and some items to the Movember bundles
 12:03 and we've already sold actually one of
 12:06 the Lubar bundles the cloth mat bundle
 12:07 we sold during the telethon
 12:09 when we and we announced right before
 12:12 the telethon that we had
 12:13 some cool new unique items to all those
 12:16 bundles including digital
 12:20 reproductions of our follicular
 12:22 reliquary so the mustache earlier today
 12:25 it looks really kick-ass yeah they
 12:27 looked literally just like the ones with
 12:30 some improvements are actually slightly
 12:32 improved yeah because they have our
 12:33 symbols they have the Kaos symbol and
 12:35 the Lord British crest on them and we
 12:38 also announced this week that we
 12:39 launched the cooperative item
 12:42 cooperative effort with the merits
 12:46 fitness app so so if you have if you
 12:50 work with the merit if you install the
 12:51 merits fitness app well that works with
 12:54 a variety of fitness things like Fitbit
 12:56 and things like that you can get the
 12:57 cool health cloak that's got that custom
 13:02 caduceus that's got the with the serpent
 13:06 on it when the two serpents on and you
 13:10 can get up Citi and potions from that
 13:11 and that the cloak is just really you
 13:14 get that just for signing up so join
 13:15 everybody who is in you know using
 13:18 Merritt's already and we have a forum
 13:20 thread that is gathering your questions
 13:22 in fact the merits team has been
 13:24 fantastic working with us
 13:25 they're super energetic with our
 13:27 partnership here and they are in that
 13:28 forum thread to help us to answer your
 13:30 questions
 13:31 so we are working to tweak the app to
 13:34 make it a little easier to use a little
 13:36 bit more secure in some ways and
 13:38 eventually maybe some more items will be
 13:40 added as well yeah and so just a
 13:43 reminder at least 48 8 big changes
 13:47 coming to artifacts so artifacts will no
 13:50 longer be able to be repaired with
 13:52 repair kits or kodos that you'll have to
 13:57 use other artifacts to repair artifacts
 14:00 so you'll have to salvage artifacts and
 14:02 use the essences from those artifacts to
 14:05 repair your existing artifacts and but
 14:09 also with that you'll now be able to
 14:11 enchant and masterwork artifacts so
 14:13 check out the head some risk at some
 14:16 risk of course just the same risk you do
 14:17 with other things so enjoy all the
 14:21 changes to artifacts but get ready and
 14:24 also
 14:26 this is our second week of sales
 14:28 promoting the launch of the Russian
 14:30 version of the game and so this week it

 23:33 be a little bit larger your horse before
 23:36 we I always do that every time okay hold
 23:41 on a second everybody there we go and
 23:43 I'm gonna make it just a little bit
 23:44 larger so we don't need to see the wrap
 23:47 or a little window perfect okay so
 23:49 there's our craftable sway or slight
 23:52 slit so everybody in the chats like it's

 24:49 that's that's one person so it's totally
 24:52 one yeah you grab the handle bars and
 24:56 steer it that way also totally one
 24:58 person okay dangerous with more than one
 25:00 person
 25:01 you've seen the sled take zero oh no
 25:04 stairs here so the sluts don't move you
 25:14 can't really write and ride I was a
 25:17 little bit but the fun thing about it is
 25:19 you can only you can sit on them by
 25:21 doing slash sit and you can also rotate
 25:25 these so that they're vertical so you
 25:27 can kind of lean them against your wall
 25:29 or something like that
 25:31 oh that's yes you get a little you can
 25:34 flip them this way too like that like
 25:38 horizontal and you can flip them
 25:39 vertical even this one the ornate
 25:41 version and the craftable yep yeah and
 25:45 you can put it on your lot and you can
 25:46 put it on pot land and create a whole
 25:49 winter wonderland nice so Sarah just you
 25:54 know there's we've gotten a lot of new
 25:56 people that have come into our live
 25:57 streams recently and we've every every
 26:00 live stream for the past three or four
 26:02 weeks has hit record viewers thank you
 26:04 everybody for sharing out the lives we
 26:06 even in announcing exciting
 26:09 mostly developer you know presenting
 26:11 developer stuff content that's coming to
 26:13 the game for the upcoming two releases
 26:15 are 48 which is next week and so some
 26:18 may not know who you are we did
 26:20 introductions a little bit ago but Sarah
 26:21 you did a lot of stuff here I'm Sarafina
 26:24 if you've ever written into support with
 26:27 anything I'm the one talking to you most
 26:30 likely but I also test a lot of the
 26:34 decos and equippable x' that go into the
 26:36 game so if you see a bug that's because
 26:39 I missed something and you're better
 26:41 than me so thank you Sarah for in the
 26:44 lead but no one's better than Bob yeah
 26:48 look at this damn right Bob is the
 26:50 hottest thing in art right now so talk

 40:01 to these images I have a bunch of images
 40:02 from all the yuletide stuff that I've
 40:04 gotten to work on and I was really lucky
 40:07 this time in that you know even though
 40:10 it was a short release I had set myself
 40:12 up the last time when I created the
 40:15 Yuletide stuff that I made for 2016 to
 40:19 be able to go in and fairly quickly
 40:20 you know recreate new versions that
 40:24 required really only a lot of just you
 40:26 know actual painting art on my end and
 40:28 then you know kind of a makeover of the
 40:30 thing so I was really lucky I had some
 40:32 stuff and plus when I kind of did a lot
 40:34 of research to get the stuff necessary
 40:35 for the designs for things like gift
 40:38 boxes and the stockings which we already
 40:39 had I could have gone through all the
 40:42 resources that I could find and made a
 40:45 backlog of stuff that I could draw from
 40:47 years later so that really helped me out
 40:49 get those done fast and it let me
 40:51 actually work on two new things that
 40:54 we've never had before but yet several
 40:56 of you fine folks have been asking about
 40:59 Garland's to add to the wreaths that we
 41:02 already had to really you know decorate
 41:04 the walls and things like that and then
 41:05 in addition since we already had a card
 41:07 for the Valentine's Day having a
 41:10 Yuletide Christmas comes your window for
 41:20 us everybody in fact one minute moron
 41:23 exclamation beer for a chance to win
 41:25 those beer cruise
 41:26 excellent we're looking at here you can

 42:20 telethon sticker at the top for what
 42:23 flash sales are going on and all of that
 42:24 stuff

 42:27 having a little bit of problems with it

 42:29 wanted to get over to obs which is we
 42:33 tested it a few times during the
 42:35 telethon zoobi is another this is all
 42:39 like Geek Speak and they're just tools
 42:45 to allow us to present you our live
 42:48 streams connect the camera show the
 42:50 screenshots play the game all that good
 42:52 stuff and to do in different windows and
 42:55 resize of resize the windows that sort
 42:57 of thing and so we switched to this
 43:00 other one called OBS and we did that
 43:03 literally two minutes before sorry
 43:06 oh that was great and we didn't test it

 46:11 yeah so let's so here so here's the deal
 46:14 with what you're seeing right now the
 46:15 first and the first and foremost
 46:17 environment that I start working on this
 46:19 stuff again is max because max is the
 46:22 modeler I know you all have you've heard
 46:24 me talk about it before
 46:25 and what you see spread out before you
 46:26 are you know is my little test bed to
 46:29 make sure that as I make some of these
 46:30 items and you can see the stockings up
 46:32 there on the chimney as well I kind of
 46:34 test to make sure that sort of the
 46:35 geometry is going to fit in the right
 46:37 place it needs to fit and that the
 46:39 things are the right relative size and
 46:41 all the other good stuff excuse me and
 46:43 in the background you can see some of
 46:45 the other gift boxes that were already
 46:46 made and then in the foreground
 46:48 you can see the new gift boxes that I
 46:51 was working on for for the season and
 46:54 one thing you can see also is that
 46:56 everything you see is kind of like
 46:57 outlined in lines specific delineations
 47:01 of different colors what you're actually
 47:02 looking at there is the mesh of that
 47:04 object so you know underneath everything
 47:06 its polygons polygons all day long and
 47:09 then in photo in Photoshop we actually
 47:11 work on the the essentially the painting
 47:16 of the wrapping paper that goes around
 47:17 these boxes and of course every other
 47:18 mesh we build as well where those things
 47:20 are hand-painted or we get you know some
 47:22 good resources for making them from
 47:24 photographs the design and the lines and
 47:27 we actually the other screenshots which
 47:29 I have up here now looks like they do
 47:33 Minh zoom in a little closer to some of
 47:35 these so we can get a little better
 47:37 looking absolutely so let's go to the
 47:38 next one what I did is I actually took a
 47:44 single image capture when I should have
 47:47 taken a capture of the the window itself
 47:52 here so I'm gonna go and grab one second
 47:57 now believe me when I say my original
 48:00 intention was to sort of flip through
 48:02 these fairly quickly you know with a few
 48:05 comments about each and then we go into
 48:08 the into the actual editor itself and
 48:11 run around so you can see them in all
 48:12 their full 3d and moving glory and we
 48:15 will do that as once we get this thing
 48:16 set up to where I can just start
 48:17 flipping through the images and making a
 48:19 few comments here and there so please
 48:20 forgive this as we we kind of arranged
 48:23 these properly yeah forget forgive me
 48:25 it's all me here alright so there is our
 48:29 fancy new system changing these out so
 48:33 I'm just gonna zoom in a little bit more
 48:35 so that we can get a good nice full look
 48:37 at these screen shots and then you can
 48:40 grab your image again there we there we
 48:42 go so what you'll do Scotty is just
 48:44 right here

 49:05 little commentary as we go so you see
 49:07 this environment match with all of them
 49:09 together and still in max at this point
 49:11 and still you can see because there's
 49:12 the wire mesh around everything that's
 49:14 the actual mesh that you're looking at
 49:15 that they're built out of fairly simple
 49:17 polygamy and you can see the the the old
 49:20 last year's gift boxes for Yul compared
 49:23 to this 2017 you will give boxes and at
 49:25 some point in time I'll be probably
 49:26 supplying relics by willed with the
 49:31 patterns that I got from these boxes so
 49:33 that they can be turned into wrapping
 49:35 paper that you got you guys can use as
 49:36 well I think that was real real dope so
 49:40 here you see it from a different angle
 49:41 but with their with their lines turned
 49:43 off so you can actually look beyond the
 49:45 mesh and actually see a little closer
 49:46 what they were gonna look like in the
 49:47 game for quick context relics by real
 49:50 key coda relics by real calm then over
 49:53 there he has a wonderful lineup of
 49:56 merchandise that he created it's totally
 49:58 a community initiative and things like
 50:01 shirts and cups and also joins a number
 50:05 of items that sometimes would give away
 50:07 like on our telethon that's right that's
 50:09 right so it's a good guy with good stuff
 50:11 yeah created a bunch of things so so and
 50:14 now here you see there's a difference
 50:16 between what you saw in max and now you
 50:18 can start seeing things in the game so I
 50:20 throw objects in the game in the editor
 50:22 as I begin to prepare their materials
 50:24 which you know they're they're it's a
 50:27 physically based rendering which means
 50:29 that it can take into account things
 50:30 like shine and polish and the gleam of
 50:32 metal and the sheen of wrapping paper
 50:35 for instance glistening ribbons things
 50:38 like that and so once we get it into
 50:40 there it will also respect bunk maps
 50:43 which allow things to have more texture
 50:44 than their polygons would normally allow
 50:46 and cache shadows and places individual
 50:49 rocks and pebbles and things like that
 50:51 and so checking them out in the game is
 50:53 really important for me because then I
 50:54 know that I've got the materials correct
 50:56 so here you can see like the candy cane
 50:58 is actually kind of gleaming because the
 50:59 light of the sun is shining on it but
 51:01 this is broad daylight kind of kind of
 51:03 blast everything out you can kind of see
 51:06 here a wonderful new little kind of
 51:09 addition a kind of a rustic thing button
 51:11 and burlap kind of things sewn together
 51:13 with like some little rosemary fronds
 51:16 there with it and then so you know I can
 51:19 kind of create some new decorations this
 51:21 year just to kind of mix things up a
 51:23 little bit a little bow ribbon that was
 51:24 added and I think there's like a piece
 51:27 over here that has like dried leaves and
 51:29 and rosemary again trying to get a
 51:31 rustic touch to it as if they've been
 51:33 handmade I mean a lot of that blown out
 51:35 of the water by the fact that wrapping
 51:36 paper like this would have never existed
 51:37 in the Middle Ages but certainly maybe
 51:40 toward the Victorian era they started
 51:41 getting the idea for it down and and of
 51:43 course we're modernizing some of the
 51:45 stuff is nice because people want to see
 51:46 pretty gifts around the fire and around
 51:47 the base of the tree so here they are
 51:48 actually Institute in an environment
 51:51 that you would normally see them in if
 51:53 you're decorating with them in your home
 51:55 so now you're getting the light play
 51:56 you're seeing the gleaming the kind of
 51:58 the waxy look of the holly leaves the
 52:01 shine on the ribbon the bells that now
 52:03 look wonderfully metallic and the the
 52:06 lesser shine that you see on the
 52:08 wrapping paper itself right there by the
 52:09 roaring fire the three new gift boxes
 52:13 for this year now in addition I was able
 52:17 to put something else in to look people
 52:19 love crafting things and it's it's
 52:21 always a bummer to me that we only end
 52:23 up with like usually one kind of item
 52:25 that gets crafted but here for 2017 I
 52:27 made another craftable box you can see
 52:30 the one over from 2016 this one is a
 52:33 deeper purple with lovely little polka
 52:35 dots on there and different color scheme
 52:38 entirely slightly different size this is
 52:40 the one from this year's squad and wider
 52:42 but now you all will have two different
 52:44 kind of gift boxes and you'll be able to
 52:46 craft yourself and you can see them here
 52:48 in comparison to the spirituality and
 52:52 the chaos on the in the ethos gift box
 52:55 and here you see them up closer even
 52:58 closer side-by-side 2017 craftable and
 53:01 the 2016 craftable gift boxes which you
 53:03 can see in the new craftable box that's
 53:05 I include the little handmade looking
 53:08 board ever done it looks really
 53:10 beautiful it's really amazing and I
 53:12 remember the ones from you know the 22nd
 53:14 2016 ones that's right a lot of people
 53:18 were using
 53:19 to decorate their houses and festive
 53:21 Yuletide flavor and that's right that
 53:24 I'm sure they're gonna do it this year
 53:25 for these there's there's some good news
 53:27 by the way about containers like these
 53:28 and the stockings you're about to see
 53:30 and that is that you know I've had a
 53:32 chance to talk with the programmers
 53:33 about something that's come up several
 53:34 times and that is the limit on the
 53:36 number of containers you can put on your
 53:38 property and they may have a way to get
 53:40 around that and by doing so it will let
 53:43 you decorate with as many empty
 53:44 containers as you want because the cap
 53:46 limit does not necessarily only
 53:48 container objects themselves but on what
 53:49 they contain and so they literally
 53:51 multiplied at the you know the number of
 53:53 containers that we currently allow by
 53:55 the number maximum number of objects
 53:57 that can kind of go into those
 53:58 containers and so now and they haven't
 54:01 they haven't done this yet they've been
 54:03 talking about it they just came up with
 54:04 this idea it's a great idea because it
 54:06 makes it practically painless for
 54:07 everybody there's no new interface
 54:09 there's nothing all it does is it tracks
 54:11 the number and then once that number is
 54:13 reached then you can only put empty
 54:15 containers out there right so it's
 54:18 really about the amount of stuff you
 54:19 want to store as opposed to the number
 54:21 of containers that store it so that
 54:23 would let you decorate endlessly hasn't
 54:25 been implemented it may not be
 54:26 implemented until like another milestone
 54:28 or so but it's being discussed and that
 54:31 is a possible way to be well speaking of
 54:33 decorations we have a couple of prizes

 54:37 can use to decorate your property if you
 54:39 like we have the beer crews now there's
 54:43 a choice of one or the other there's two

 55:35 to go through before we jump into the
 55:36 actual scene but hopefully you all are
 55:38 enjoying at least the narrative behind
 55:40 the the process by which I go through to
 55:43 make these and to consider how they're
 55:45 going to work and all that other good
 55:46 stuff I'm very much an advocate for
 55:48 things that players want whenever I have
 55:50 the chance I try to cram it in which is
 55:51 what I did during this short milestone
 55:54 to try to get the extra two little
 55:56 things going so okay so now the next
 56:02 thing I wanted to show you you recall
 56:03 the stockings from last year and and
 56:06 these are some images I circulated
 56:09 showing how they can be used and
 56:11 decorated with me you can see them here
 56:13 somehow they're able to do some crazy
 56:15 things you know it's sort of sometimes I
 56:17 look into the magic of getting things to
 56:19 work exactly the way I want them to now
 56:21 and I try to err on the side of more
 56:23 freedom than less meaning that you have
 56:25 the freedom to make them look ugly I
 56:26 mean you could literally try to put
 56:28 things in there now and they can
 56:29 literally hang inside the fireplace
 56:31 inside where the fire is but I'd rather
 56:33 err on the side of giving you more
 56:35 freedom and it's the chance you could
 56:37 make something ugly if you really wanted
 56:38 to
 56:38 then less freedom and not be able to
 56:41 decorate with them in more spaces that
 56:43 sometimes will surprise and amaze you
 56:44 like the way that they're hanging here
 56:46 on the great art and so the new any of
 56:49 the new stuff that's made to hang on off
 56:51 of horizontal surfaces as opposed to
 56:54 vertical surfaces which are walls you
 56:56 know all the wall hangings and stuff
 56:57 that you've ever vertically based these
 56:59 stockings were something new they were
 57:01 meant to look like they hang over and
 57:02 indeed are attached to the actual
 57:05 horizontal edge of any space like the
 57:08 edge of a table the edge of railing
 57:10 things like that as long as there has
 57:12 been a a a and you can see here all
 57:15 these things have horizontal surfaces
 57:18 from which things like this can hang
 57:20 they're technically utilizing the code
 57:22 for things that can be placed on the
 57:23 floor but as long as it's any horizontal
 57:26 deco surface it'll work so you see I
 57:29 have them hanging them off the top of
 57:30 the different little size tables here
 57:33 the round tables as long as you rotate
 57:35 it to where it looks good then it will
 57:37 end up looking good and it should work
 57:38 the same thing will apply for the new
 57:40 ones you can see how with all these old
 57:42 ones they're all
 57:43 the place I have a shelf up on the wall
 57:44 there that has a lovely craftable one I
 57:47 have several different kinds of
 57:48 fireplaces you can see how many I was
 57:50 able to throw in there including on the
 57:52 on the side by the way you can see I
 57:53 hung it on the side the only word place
 57:55 you can't do it is like the medium and
 57:56 large ones here on the front of this
 57:58 because this piece bows out you know
 58:01 it's a collision surface so so if you
 58:03 try to hang something there it won't let
 58:04 you hang it because the bottom part of
 58:06 the stocking would we try to collide
 58:08 with that collision surface and possibly
 58:11 catch on fire actually you know Richard
 58:13 loves to have traps and I said well you
 58:14 know a trap could be there's a one in 30
 58:16 chance that you know whatever you can
 58:18 hang on your mantle is gonna burst into
 58:19 flames but anyway you can see how it's
 58:22 done here any place where the the
 58:24 builders of our houses thought to put
 58:26 deco surfaces you can hang stuff like
 58:29 this and it's hanging over this lip this
 58:31 little edge so it is possible to find a
 58:34 lot of different places to hang these
 58:36 things from so this should work in the
 58:37 exact same way but you have to have
 58:39 patience you have to turn it until it
 58:41 looks right and you have to be willing
 58:42 to make mistakes sometimes they don't
 58:44 hang where you wanted to which is
 58:46 unfortunate because it means we need
 58:47 more deco surfaces and that's a whole
 58:49 different process that we can we can
 58:51 address later on hopefully but now you
 58:53 can see the 2017 stocking versions
 58:55 compared to the 2016 which we're all
 58:58 home in those early images the new 2017
 59:00 ones work exactly the same they're based
 59:03 on the same kind of designs you can see
 59:04 but I've gone with whole different color
 59:06 schemes this time solid colors versus
 59:08 stripes the different colors for the
 59:09 cuffs and of course there's no longer
 59:11 bells hanging from the little bags which
 59:14 are sharper and more gesture like before
 59:17 now you have a wonderful wavy dag
 59:18 configuration and it has those little
 59:20 puff balls that are called pom-poms that
 59:22 people have seen dangling from fringe
 59:24 and things like that in fabric stores
 59:26 departments those are actually old they
 59:28 were using things like this remain as
 59:29 buttons on the go even and push through
 59:32 holes in fabric but these pom-poms are
 59:34 hanging decoratively from the three
 59:36 ornate versions you can see I colored
 59:38 and placed you know the the stuff inside
 59:40 in different ways this year and then you
 59:43 have yet another craftable version just
 59:45 like we did for the 2016 and again much
 59:49 more simplistic but this time a
 59:50 wonderful kind of icy cold blue color so
 59:53 hopefully we'll enjoy that and
 59:56 you can see them here up close I've made
 59:58 some changes now compared to of course
 60:00 the ones from last year you can see that
 60:02 have the ginger man a gingerbread man
 60:04 the tree and the star this year we have
 60:07 the Sun the moon and the snowflake
 60:09 itself which is really great I mean I
 60:12 like using symbols from all kinds of
 60:14 different sort of spiritual paths
 60:15 because it's fun to play with them and
 60:17 of course you know you'll is a very old
 60:20 holiday and it corresponds with the
 60:22 winter solstice which of course is the
 60:24 rebirth of the Sun because the Sun went
 60:27 to the shortest day in the year and on
 60:28 that day at that at that point at night
 60:31 then the Sun as it rises again when
 60:33 looking is reborn to rise longer and
 60:36 longer and be up every day you know for
 60:39 a while as it reaches its equinox
 60:42 so therefore the Sun was a big deal all
 60:45 those candles you saw in the old
 60:46 Christmas trees were representing the
 60:48 light of the Sun and the belief that of
 60:50 course you're celebrating the fact that
 60:52 it's getting longer and that the season
 60:53 of winter the season of death is over
 60:55 and you can look forward to spring soon
 60:57 so the Sun the moon and of course the
 61:00 ubiquitous snowflake got to have that in
 61:02 there somewhere and so that's what we
 61:04 see now and here they are in the actual
 61:06 world Institute you know in front of a
 61:08 roaring fire that you could kind of see
 61:09 them all here displayed when all their
 61:10 glory and the cool thing about this new
 61:14 also see you can see it through the
 61:15 candelabra too actually didn't include
 61:17 it yeah I didn't include it in the
 61:20 pictures but you'll see it when we go
 61:21 live into the game real quickly here's
 61:24 another little look the bells inside are
 61:26 now silver different colors on the
 61:27 lollipops from the candy canes and and
 61:29 the sugar pops and the little gift boxes
 61:31 and everything so now you have that
 61:34 we'll skip to the different to the next
 61:36 folder alright close this one who's that
 61:42 the next one let's do the Garland's so
 61:44 now we get into the new things this year
 61:46 the Garland's themselves were a pleasure
 61:49 to do and I first for the longest time I
 61:51 thought we actually had them but it
 61:53 turned out we didn't and many players
 61:55 came on the forums when I started doing
 61:56 stuff for you will saying hey can you do
 61:58 the Garland's this year can you do the
 61:59 garlands so for a couple years in a row
 62:01 people been asking about them and so
 62:03 finally I said of course we have to have
 62:05 them I think they're wonderful now there
 62:07 are two different kinds of garlands
 62:09 can be put into two different places so
 62:11 the ones on top you see are the ones you
 62:13 can craft the craftable garlands and
 62:15 then and they're in two sizes and the
 62:18 ones you see now are meant to work on
 62:20 the vertical surfaces of your walls or
 62:22 just like hanging a picture just like
 62:24 hanging the existing wreaths they go on
 62:26 the vertical walls of your house and
 62:29 there are two sizes a two meter and a
 62:31 four meter sized that you can see there
 62:33 compared to one another the craftable
 62:35 versions at the top and then the ornate
 62:37 versions with all their wonderful
 62:38 decorations and you guys at the bottom
 62:40 including the ribbon that you can see
 62:42 wrapped around the wonderful swaths of
 62:46 them and here they are in the world
 62:47 itself in my lovely little test scene I
 62:49 threw them up on the wall and you can
 62:51 see how they're meant to interact
 62:52 together I tried to make them to where
 62:54 you can kind of push them together a bit
 62:55 so at least the wonderful pine boughs
 63:01 will kind of crush together but but the
 63:04 ribbons would actually intersect each
 63:06 other very much so it will end up
 63:08 looking kind of nice and you can kind of
 63:09 tuck them nicely together whether
 63:11 there's the strands the hanging strands
 63:13 or not the the actual half wreath kind
 63:18 of Laura what do they call these pieces
 63:21 [Music]
 63:23 swag swag it's a swag a little bit
 63:29 different than the swag yes now here
 63:35 here are the look this is a large one so
 63:37 this is the four meter one from above a
 63:38 door with with a large strands hanging
 63:42 with the ribbons above them too and
 63:43 again this is the these the ornate kind
 63:46 now these the craftable kind and so here
 63:48 you can see and they're you know I've
 63:51 taken the smaller versions and I can
 63:53 cross this entire room with three of
 63:54 them and have the strands hanging in the
 63:56 middle and you see how nicely they work
 63:58 with the wreath of last year so you get
 64:01 the different color for those yeah
 64:03 whereas the one from here is working
 64:05 with the wreath that we did for this
 64:06 year which is what course they were made
 64:08 to match and then now you get the next
 64:12 thing that I was able to do and at the
 64:14 last minute it was requested by Dallas
 64:16 who really wanted to see them being able
 64:17 to be hung
 64:18 antle's as well one-third of the size of
 64:21 the smallest ones that can fit on the
 64:22 wall are the mantle or I should say in
 64:25 this case they he's calling them the
 64:26 shelf versions of the same wonderful
 64:29 Garland's and these work just like the
 64:32 stockings in and you can see there you
 64:34 have a visual cue of that because you
 64:35 see the little thing that looks like
 64:37 it's nailed in that is used to hang them
 64:39 off of the vertical off of the
 64:40 horizontal edges of things like tables
 64:43 yeah and you can see the the hooks for
 64:46 each edge so you know how many pieces
 64:48 you have where they're positioned
 64:49 whether they're sure them the right way
 64:51 or not yeah because the ones what I
 64:53 quickly realize is the ones that were
 64:55 were craftable didn't have anything like
 64:58 ribbons on it they just had these so
 65:00 there was no way to know whether you
 65:02 would turn it the right direction before
 65:03 trying to hang it and that's important
 65:04 because it actually has a little face in
 65:06 there that is specifically meant to
 65:08 interact with the horizontal surface and
 65:09 has turned 180 degrees you could try to
 65:12 place it all day and it would fail so
 65:14 this is what lets you know that you have
 65:15 a turn in the right direction and you
 65:17 can you can actually push them up
 65:18 against almost all the way up against
 65:20 each other and the frogs can kind of
 65:22 intermingle and look like one whole
 65:24 garland or you can separate them and put
 65:26 stuff in between if you if you have so
 65:27 here you could choose to leave out one
 65:29 of them and then hang a stocking or two
 65:31 in their place instead oh yeah that
 65:34 actually is something that I think we'll
 65:35 see as we have the community always
 65:38 comes up with these mixes and matches
 65:39 and all these really neat ways that they
 65:41 decorate their homes that's right they
 65:43 stuff we provide and so you know I'm
 65:46 sure we'll see some of that and all of
 65:48 this guys is coming next release right
 65:51 those are these all of these is right
 65:53 release 48 next Thursday so less than a
 65:55 week from now or about a week for not I
 65:57 guess technically and you're going to be
 65:59 able to get in and check some of them
 66:01 out if you want to I think see some of
 66:04 these things well they won't be able to
 66:06 actually access it until then anyway
 66:08 that's right I was gonna say QA but
 66:10 that'll apply for these things that's
 66:12 right and we just had locked in like
 66:14 last night it was our lockdown and so I

 66:58 you were wondering more than like two of
 67:01 the pieces there'll be a dozen of those
 67:04 pieces I believe is what we're looking
 67:05 at potentially so I know that the number
 67:07 is still under debate because I I push
 67:09 for a little bit more because you know
 67:10 you want to be able to say hey a pack
 67:12 will nicely decorate the walls of a room
 67:14 and the mantel and a few other things
 67:16 and so you know there are several sizes
 67:18 so having like four of each kind and
 67:22 size maybe a nice healthy amount so
 67:24 maybe twelve to maybe sixteen you know
 67:26 and pieces in a sense I think we're
 67:28 gonna do a make a pact to which I'll
 67:30 have every single size and everything
 67:32 that you would want for those Garland's
 67:34 and we're gonna do this for some of the
 67:35 other things that Scotty is going to
 67:36 show like of these cars as well which I
 67:38 believe are going to be doing a five
 67:40 pack that's right for the cards I just
 67:42 wanted to call that out that we're gonna
 67:44 give you the as many options in these
 67:47 packs make it as easy to decorate small
 67:50 and large houses well and then of course
 67:52 to once you have the ability to you
 67:54 craft them you know you may not have
 67:55 enough to do everything in ornate but
 67:57 you can mix and match them nicely with
 67:59 the ones you can craft they're the same
 68:00 size work in the same so mixing and
 68:03 matching will we'll let the ones that
 68:05 you buy go much longer way and still
 68:07 fill the room with all kinds of
 68:08 beautiful greenery and the red bows and
 68:10 things like that so here so here we have
 68:12 the card and the cards will work I'm
 68:14 assuming just like the Valentine's Day
 68:15 cards from the standpoint I got them
 68:17 working just fine on mine and they'll
 68:20 come in a pack like you were saying
 68:21 whether the same as the valentines packs
 68:23 or not I don't know but I'm assuming
 68:24 lily and here you see what it is what I
 68:27 try to do with these and you see them
 68:28 compared to the two Valentine's cards
 68:30 that I did last year in the year before
 68:31 or I should say this year and the year
 68:34 before with the with the Yuletide card I
 68:38 tried to make it as neutral as possible
 68:40 I mean you know we have a you know we
 68:42 have
 68:42 a world with a variety of cultures and
 68:44 spiritual experiences and one thing that
 68:47 we can say is is similar to all of these
 68:50 is that they happen around a certain
 68:51 time of the year as a result somatically
 68:54 bringing in elements are just the basic
 68:56 time of the year which includes things
 68:58 that grow around that time Holly and
 68:59 mistletoe you know other winter themes
 69:02 allow me to create sort of a generic
 69:04 card that we can then use for a variety
 69:07 of number of things and of course you
 69:08 can label it as you wish so here they
 69:10 are compared to them size-wise very
 69:12 similar misses in broad daylight but now
 69:14 we have it here I have it laid down on
 69:16 the table of being lit from behind my
 69:19 viewer here from by a fire and you can
 69:21 kind of see how it looks you know it
 69:22 changes color a little bit depending on
 69:24 the nature of the light and then you
 69:26 could look it up very closely and see
 69:28 the rich detail I was III combed through
 69:30 resources that I can find on borders and
 69:32 old vintage cards and a variety of other
 69:34 things hand-painted paintings
 69:37 illustrations from like the
 69:38 turn-of-the-century
 69:39 this one in fact depicting some medieval
 69:42 revelers with Garland's painting behind
 69:44 them during this during this time of the
 69:45 year
 69:48 yeah there's mistletoe on the left and
 69:50 right you can see with a little white
 69:51 berries and then there's Holly with the
 69:53 red berries and there's red bells and
 69:55 then a red bow hanging that strange
 69:56 little diamond you see there is actually
 69:58 incorporated into it so that when you
 70:00 see it in its interface in the game
 70:02 that's that where the X goes that you
 70:03 can close out the window when you're
 70:05 done so here's me composing a happy
 70:07 you'll thing so it has its little thing
 70:08 just like the Valentine's card where I
 70:10 can say happy you'll enjoy you know well

 76:44 see mirroring but then I try to move
 76:47 things around and adjust geometry so
 76:49 that the mirroring is not evident you
 76:51 can see right there where the you've
 76:52 ease of the front side and the back side
 76:54 mirror right there in the middle but I
 76:56 do try to jerk stuff around to where any
 76:59 mirroring is is sometimes lost but yes
 77:02 you know for instance you know the the
 77:05 size of the boxes every side that's on
 77:08 the side is a repeat of the same area on
 77:11 the texture map and I cram texture maps
 77:13 full of everything that I can to make
 77:15 them as usable as possible now so here
 77:18 you're seeing the last thing that that
 77:21 that I was able to make which is the
 77:24 2017 menorah the the candelabra for for
 77:29 this season so that's all brand-new with
 77:31 all its wonderful good
 77:32 and it's the 8th day of Hanukkah well no
 77:36 oh yes yes because they're all lit and
 77:42 then we'll be on all the time
 77:44 unfortunately the candle is actually
 77:49 supposed to be detachable and you use it
 77:52 to light the other ones it's called the
 77:54 Shabbos it is I don't know why my
 77:58 parents let us kids light it so yeah so
 78:06 now you can see up close all the
 78:07 different things here's that here's the
 78:08 wonderful look of the new you'll box as
 78:12 I know with the shining light of all the
 78:13 different light sources you're actually
 78:15 seeing reflected and the crazy the crazy
 78:18 metal bells yes the candy cane and this
 78:23 year there's a whole known decoration
 78:28 that's being is with this little button
 78:29 and it's kind of shellacked burlap and
 78:31 and cloth nice you add that because like
 78:33 when I go home for Christmas I never
 78:35 accept a gift that doesn't have candy on
 78:37 top just have Canada and you can see it
 78:39 here too so here you see the big
 78:44 versions like I said before and then
 78:45 these and then these in use right here
 78:47 and of course down on the little
 78:49 bearskin rug is a Yuletide card yeah
