 0:25 and we've got like we've got all the
 0:27 people in the room here but you know
 0:28 it's you know I don't know who that is
 0:31 I know it into the robots okay behind
 0:34 you and we've we've got Richard on the
 0:37 robot I believe he's where are you right
 0:40 now I am in still chilly New York City
 0:44 actually mean bizarre the that is still
 0:47 soak a little chilly in here although
 0:48 you know use the ring honey beats me
 0:50 nothing I'm always chilliest this air
 0:53 conditioning system well thank you for

 0:58 appreciate we have a lot to talk about

 1:32 scenes that's coming up in released 3043
 1:35 i said and we've had a video that went
 1:39 out earlier this week on it as well as
 1:41 the least one good weekly update with
 1:44 screenshots plus this weekly update that
 1:47 will go after the live stream with more
 1:49 livers room screenshots so a lot of
 1:51 quick livers from content to show the
 1:53 community it looks like they can hear us
 1:57 okay so that's always a plus
 1:58 a couple of news items before we go into
 2:02 some other stuff and then show you
 2:03 libris ruins here enjoy the scenery
 2:05 while we talk again release 42 is
 2:09 currently live in the games going very
 2:11 well we think the community so
 2:13 much for the feedback that you have
 2:14 given up on this release I can't tell
 2:16 you how hard the team here has been
 2:19 working to make release 43 even better
 2:22 we've been focusing on things like story
 2:24 we've been focusing things on
 2:26 performance improvements load times so
 2:29 we're very interested in seeing what you
 2:31 think of the changes there once you get
 2:34 your hands on release 43 in just a
 2:36 couple of weeks end of this month so
 2:38 last Thursday of this month watch out
 2:40 for it we'll have more news coming up
 2:42 for our deaf plus players will hopefully
 2:45 be giving you a QA bill go to that
 2:47 release 43 and sometime next week is our
 2:50 target well also thanks again for
 2:53 watching the summer telethon if you
 2:55 didn't catch it
 2:56 the recording is now on YouTube all 12
 2:58 hours or 11 hours and 53 minutes because
 3:02 we had it was literally like 12 hours
 3:04 and four five minutes long and YouTube
 3:08 only accepts 12 hour upload it won't
 3:11 even parse it for you
 3:13 so what we had to edit that and that
 3:15 took quite a bit of time but we got it
 3:17 for you guys now and as a bonus we have
 3:19 a counter on a timer on the live stream
 3:22 as well so that you can talk amongst
 3:25 yourselves and you know call out
 3:27 specific hours of interest where we
 3:30 answer community questions and such so
 3:32 we wanted to give you something a little
 3:33 easier to parse that twelve hours on
 3:35 your own also last Wednesday
 3:38 this last week's Wednesday we had the
 3:41 community spotlight of college so we've
 3:43 been getting into the spotlights again
 3:44 and Kali ka h Li amazing town you'd have
 3:48 to go and visit it sometime in this
 3:50 algerians town one of our very prominent
 3:52 community and prominent and longtime
 3:54 community members also there's been a
 3:58 couple of community events that have
 4:01 just kicked just been announced I should
 4:03 say one in particular we do want to
 4:05 mention today that's coming up tomorrow
 4:07 it's on Saturday at 8 o'clock in sevard
 4:10 Island a wedding between safa Sivan
 4:14 healed and co-teach I apologize for the
 4:18 pronunciation here Cody truck theis I
 4:20 hope I got that close but
 4:21 congratulations to you too there's a
 4:23 they're getting of here to have any
 4:26 gangway in southern island so I will be
 4:28 there and we've made a call to the devs
 4:31 and also are going to have in the
 4:32 message of the day in game for anybody
 4:34 else who is welcome to which n can be
 4:36 fun I think
 4:37 Thanks there are some other
 4:39 announcements that we're going to make
 4:40 but since Richard showed up I think he'd
 4:42 like to give them indeed indeed yes
 4:45 thank you for allowing me to crash your
 4:46 stream you know Matthew noted we're just
 4:50 about a week out from the telethon where
 4:53 we announce the campaign we're doing
 4:56 with seedinvest
 4:57 the equity crowdfunding campaign and
 5:00 pursuit of that a person that originally
 5:02 went with live and only been live and
 5:05 was a reservation only mode and now it's
 5:08 actually fully live and so we hope
 5:11 everybody will go there and check it out
 5:12 you know I do a little reading very
 5:15 exciting time here is a project where
 5:17 you know putting the final touches on
 5:19 the story and hopefully the next couple
 5:20 of releases we'll put a fork in the
 5:23 story for the game say it's a at least
 5:26 you know in company of a feature
 5:28 complete story form but we've been
 5:33 looking later in the year why they
 5:34 released this game so are beginning to
 5:36 plan our future as not just a dollar but
 5:39 also as a publisher and so that's why
 5:41 we're we suddenly go do this equity
 5:44 crowdfunding event or this process with
 5:47 you but I hope you guys go check out

 8:45 let's check out livers ruins I saw some
 8:48 pretty cool stuff that you've been
 8:49 putting in
 8:50 they're like we have traps is that right
 8:53 yes and yeah we got some nice chaps
 8:56 there is I do have to ask you one thing
 8:59 Estevan right away and I didn't pay
 9:02 attention to this until now but there is
 9:06 a community question so I'm just
 9:07 relaying it don't shoot the messenger
 9:09 okay
 9:10 doesn't it make more sense to you know
 9:15 oh yes I thought it says for ya to
 9:18 actually design the what was it the
 9:21 traps to prevent you from getting now
 9:23 instead of getting in or something like
 9:24 that right yes exactly yes the traps in
 9:29 this map okay so there's our bus there
 9:32 were a little bit of background on
 9:33 libera slivers ruins is the site of an
 9:36 ancient prison
 9:37 and so yes the traps in this map were
 9:43 man at one point to keep prisoners
 9:45 inside the prison now the way I worded
 9:48 that in the Florida made it seem like
 9:51 the traps were keeping people who are
 9:55 trying to go in to the prison out or
 9:58 something like that where that's a good
 10:00 is too dangerous to you know yes I had
 10:03 to clarify there a bit in my statement
 10:05 but and we're seeing the prison here on
 10:07 screen right now guy in the distance
 10:09 past this gate because the liver to
 10:13 ruins as more than just a prisoner I
 10:14 mean so yes okay right yes so livers
 10:17 ruin is one of the six ancient ruin
 10:20 cities that we find in oviya you know
 10:23 the others are discord room cause
 10:25 Madrid's and so this is just one of
 10:30 those other six cities and on-site bad
 10:34 these cities have faults or crypts
 10:36 underneath them and that's where the
 10:39 letters of the dire prophecies are
 10:41 hidden so somewhere in this map there is
 10:45 a gateway to an underground chamber
 10:48 where there's what would be able to
 10:50 check that out now though be a little
 10:53 bit to exploiters but but he won't even
 10:56 let me see it
 10:57 cuckoo
 11:00 grins so we'll go on a tour but I'm
 11:03 seeing cries for pride how do you
 11:05 mention that Rises yes we have them we
 11:09 have we're going to regurgitate a little
 11:11 bit from last week's just because they
 11:13 were so popular by the way you know I
 11:16 was going to say sneak peek but it's not
 11:18 really speaking anymore emotes are on

 11:22 emote and speaking of events there is an

 11:50 to give away today should have done emo

 11:54 have that in the list but you know what
 11:56 what the heck's so ornate tabletop moon
 11:59 dial super super popular so we're gonna

 12:09 this is sofa and chair there's these are
 12:11 new items that we put into the add-on
 12:13 store just for again release 42 they're
 12:17 on the front page of the add-on store
 12:18 there's some other furniture items
 12:20 that's not what we're talking about it's
 12:21 literally the sofa and chair set I mean
 12:23 you don't need any more in this open
 12:24 chair anyway like you know table and all
 12:26 just so pinchy I mean it when I eat in
 12:29 on a chair and so I put it on Steve on
 12:31 YouTube let me at home don't don't pay
 12:33 attention my eating habits at home and
 12:35 then what were we saying we're going to
 12:37 add emotes right I guess so
 12:39 emotes of your choice but it has to be a
 12:44 single emo it can't be like a six-pack
 12:47 or the sets or whatever so emote of your
 12:51 choice available in the store and two of
 12:54 those two that's a lot of stone a we
 12:56 have a bunch okay I've seen some of the
 12:58 uses and chairs are really really nice
 13:00 you know really yeah with the great ice
 13:03 rink just like five different types of

 13:11 this ah let's start with a sizzling

 13:57 describe this map added or ancient seed
 14:00 of justice so that's the reason why we
 14:02 have a prison here but as magic pointed
 14:05 out you know that's not the only thing
 14:06 it's math the prison itself is carved
 14:09 onto the cliffs I'm going to fly over
 14:13 there but that big structure you see
 14:18 that is a prison itself carved onto the
 14:20 cliffs along with some sky cells we'll
 14:24 talk more about that as we come over
 14:26 here and around the prison you do have a
 14:28 few structures so this is just you know
 14:33 structures that kind of came about as
 14:36 the prison grave
 14:38 you know storage buildings you know
 14:41 barracks stuff like that and then
 14:43 directly in front of the prison you know
 14:47 direct in front of that is this
 14:49 abandoned ruined courthouse so once
 14:51 again just going along the lines of is
 14:53 this was an ancient city you know
 14:55 devoted to justice but let's make our
 14:59 way to the prison and yes of course
 15:05 we're always thinking of traps
 15:08 retriggered a very big fanatic about
 15:11 traps we're always thinking of new
 15:14 interesting things we can come up with
 15:16 and you know this right here is one of
 15:18 our new traps
 15:19 so this is a bear trap so it only works
 15:22 for bears right well let's find out so
 15:29 the trap closes when you step on it does
 15:34 its Maggie
 15:34 it does Maggie you how you do not snag
 15:37 me at the moment for some reason but for
 15:39 nunatak typically it would snag you but
 15:41 this is hot off the press and no
 15:44 shoutout to read Rollo who provided the
 15:47 art for the trap which is very cool so
 15:51 let's make our way into the prison so we
 15:56 see you know as you get closer we see a
 15:59 lot of growth we do see the presence of
 16:02 a tea plant you know once again wherever
 16:04 we have the presence of shards as those
 16:07 plans in my backyard thank you yeah
 16:11 yeah I just leave it oh we got these
 16:13 mushrooms came here now these mushrooms
 16:17 I believe is this the only place with
 16:19 the mushrooms now I mean this missions
 16:22 having you there not whitey in the scene
 16:25 because you yeah we took the sneak peek
 16:28 videos that we put together and released
 16:31 literally this morning with it had those
 16:34 mushrooms in it yeah I'm pretty sure he
 16:36 did yeah yeah
 16:39 so this mushroom field if you were to
 16:42 step inside the band that it causes a
 16:45 confusion effect
 16:47 I'm confused you know and a lot of these
 16:53 effects that we add into you know even
 16:55 with these plants so these plans shoot
 16:58 out spores which have not even visible
 17:01 that's a bonus so that's not a bad thing
 17:02 right that's reality and you know a
 17:05 large part of all these effects is that
 17:07 it is a PvP zone so you know this is
 17:10 meant to just add more to the combat
 17:13 that can go on in this map it's over now
 17:20 on steps below the prison
 17:27 so this is the main prison now we do
 17:33 have a little bit of music in the
 17:35 background if you guys feel it's too
 17:38 loud or you would like to hear it and
 17:40 you can't hear it at all please let us
 17:41 know we can we can certainly tune that
 17:43 because there's music that goes along
 17:45 with this thing right yes and so yeah
 17:49 right now we're looking at the prison I
 17:51 so what we initially had to kick off
 17:54 meeting for this map you know we threw
 17:55 about throughout bunch of ideas you know
 17:58 how we wanted a prison to look like and
 18:00 star mention you know it'd be really
 18:02 nice if the cells where they built on to
 18:05 the cliffs and you know we will get to
 18:08 see a bit of bad cells I kind of dug
 18:12 into the cliffside but the prison itself
 18:15 consists of three cell blocks you know
 18:17 built on top of each other like lower
 18:19 cellblock mid cell block in the top cell
 18:22 block and these elevators that connect
 18:25 some parts of the cell blocks to others
 18:28 they're saying we got one guy who's that
 18:31 turn up the music
 18:32 so maybe maybe just we don't want to
 18:34 overpower if I give it another game turn
 18:37 it up
 18:37 your head if you're hearing up yeah okay
 18:40 so then crank it up okay we've tuned the
 18:44 music there for you guys
 18:46 we'll see how long it lasts for I think
 18:50 a couple minutes a track again and again

 20:12 yes here we catch a glimpse of the
 20:14 prison and so I'm still working on so a
 20:17 little bit about where this map stands
 20:19 right now is I'm just finishing up the
 20:22 world building phase so I'll be starting
 20:24 on spawning potentially next week Monday
 20:28 and also puzzles so currently the idea
 20:33 is to have the cell blocks know some
 20:37 parts blocked off that you have to get a
 20:40 key in order to access different cells
 20:42 and kind of make your way to the top so
 20:45 I kind of run around here a bad but you
 20:49 know so there's a lot of prison cells
 20:52 and there's variations on that there's
 20:55 one down here which I like to refer to a
 20:58 bit Wow so I very compliant missus but
 21:04 you can't make your way up at the moment
 21:06 this very staircases and as you saw
 21:09 there's elevators that will allow you to
 21:11 get to the second floor and the third
 21:12 floor there's a torture chambers areas
 21:16 where prisoners would be tortured into
 21:20 confession we could say guillotines
 21:23 personally I like my torture chamber in
 21:26 the basement but to each their own right
 21:28 i remains as well
 21:33 and oh there's somebody in there right
 21:39 now yeah that's our scale woman
 21:41 reference so in order to get a accurate
 21:45 size of the cell that I was trying to
 21:46 design I dumped in a little dummy there
 21:49 or reference yeah yeah so this area is
 21:55 gonna act as my stash puzzle area and
 22:01 then as we make our way up and
 22:03 eventually into the topmost floor you
 22:10 have this open area where there will be
 22:13 a boss character here and I'll be
 22:16 spawning creatures here as well
 22:18 spoiler alert yes so there will be
 22:20 plenty of bad guys here and following
 22:25 this hallway will lead you eventually
 22:29 into the sky cells which are guys so yes
 22:35 like their energy time so it's part of
 22:36 the prison but yes it's part of the
 22:39 prison so you know this was like a lot
 22:43 of inspiration for this came from
 22:44 playing a game at the end where he like
 22:47 somewhere in the first season you have
 22:48 Tyrion Lannister he's like we have this
 22:52 guy so she's going to be just a cell a
 22:56 jail cell trivia question for everybody
 22:58 or trivia testa type in and chat discord
 23:01 and twitch if you know this episode he
 23:04 is talking about and I'll watch it this
 23:06 weekend really I've seen it I've seen
 23:08 him at any minute while and if someone
 23:11 can't remember to detect episodes back
 23:13 well I really nobody in our chat and
 23:15 we'll I mean you could ask me anything
 23:17 somebody well no man I'm sure I'm sure
 23:19 like I mean what does the meaning of
 23:20 life release 42 that's great but yeah
 23:24 like just essentially you know a prison
 23:28 cells built so high up that not only is
 23:32 the cell itself a containment but the
 23:37 height of the cell is the containment so
 23:39 you know prisoners not going to want to
 23:41 jump out too
 23:42 I'm gonna say it really has no lessons
 23:45 really has that but yeah like this guy
 23:47 right here dudes like but yeah so the
 23:51 sky cells are accessible through a
 23:56 puzzle here and so this is a puzzle that
 24:00 I cooked up together with a level
 24:03 designer Keith Quinn but the idea here
 24:06 is that you can spin these statues
 24:11 roller left you just slap them up sweep
 24:15 rotate and the statutes have to be
 24:19 rotated in such a way so that I think
 24:23 this you're just walking around and if
 24:25 you know in this scene and this imagine
 24:27 it's real life and all I found a prison
 24:29 in the middle of the northerly lands
 24:31 that nobody likes to ever go to and
 24:33 you're walking around and you see these
 24:35 statues and you see some other person
 24:37 you don't know who they are and they're
 24:39 just slapping slapping slapping imagine
 24:42 you're going what is going on here yeah
 24:44 exactly and then you're going in he's
 24:46 like well please join in slap with me so
 24:48 that's what okay but slapping them in
 24:52 incorrectly and there's going to be a
 24:54 riddle attached for this when you hover
 24:57 your mouse over the statues will display
 24:59 a riddle but slapping them in the
 25:02 correct pattern will unlock this gate we
 25:05 should move on this is turning these are
 25:07 rated very quickly - and so now we're
 25:12 officially and what this is a hallway
 25:15 that needs to skypalace person is seen
 25:18 better days
 25:19 oh yes I mean this has been it like how
 25:22 old is the prison now I mean is that a
 25:27 couple hundred years old I mean I mean I
 25:30 think this would be a great question for
 25:31 Scott Jennings a lump but I mean these
 25:35 ancient cities were hardly anybody
 25:38 arrives today over its idiot yeah it's
 25:41 definitely doing a while
 25:46 but yeah and you know do expect you know
 25:49 without saying too much but do expect to
 25:53 have some type of a you know cool cool
 25:57 treasure hidden up here and that's where
 25:59 I'm currently working on right now which
 26:01 is kind of reinforcing the puzzle
 26:03 starting to do this Bonnie and then
 26:06 ultimately have some type of really cool
 26:08 stuff up here so whoever makes your way
 26:11 up here and at this one you would have
 26:13 to go through the entire prison and you
 26:16 know solve all these puzzles but you
 26:18 know kind of have a nice reward for the
 26:20 player know they're young that's cool
 26:22 yeah nice view too yeah you get an idea
 26:24 let's say in that pursuit oh all right
 26:28 probably go to another prize away here
 26:29 we got two more the the sigil set you
 26:33 choose and the emotes thank you email
 26:40 okay I have found it really this morning
 26:43 I was kind of hoping you would pick the
 26:44 other one but is your call

 30:35 autumn colors I did cover a majority of
 30:39 the map it's just like that leave

 30:45 placing these on the ground could you
 30:49 know just disguise stuff like pressure
 30:52 plates and you know other trap related
 30:56 cycle Bader's you know we got various
 31:00 other things you know we could uh we got
 31:02 rubble piles that also use kinda sky
 31:04 stuff and that's actually something I'm
 31:07 doing a lot of right now is just through
 31:11 a rubble past I'm just kind of going
 31:13 into these buildings and we know just
 31:15 like getting rid of a wall - and then
 31:20 just getting some of these pieces and
 31:23 just making it seem like it's destroyed
 31:27 like something happened but you know
 31:29 there was something came into here so
 31:33 yeah there's quite various ways in which
 31:35 we go back to guiding step but with time
 31:38 for meeting the more stuff I can
 31:41 disguise organic events the better their

 34:20 usually kind of build structures and
 34:24 then nice focus on the interiors just
 34:27 slowly I've been going through each one
 34:29 of these buildings and kind of doing
 34:31 through your path on that as well but
 34:35 yeah this is one of the key points of
 34:38 interest of Matt how do you handle
 34:40 lighting we've been checking the scene
 34:43 out during the daytime but we have full
 34:45 day and night cycles in the game so what
 34:47 happens when this thing it's really
 34:49 creepy creepy at night right yeah that's
 34:51 a great point and you know we do have a
 34:54 point of making sure this planning life
 34:57 use me currently right now but working
 35:01 on that yeah well actually part of the
 35:05 design team and the tech team have been
 35:07 doing some optimizations and having

 35:12 completed we will be painting a light
 35:15 source and you know one of the things
 35:19 that is noted also is that you know some
 35:22 of the light sources are toppled on in
 35:24 terms of my talk with off so the player
 35:26 has a choice of discovering the light

 35:35 a parent goes into a dungeon or a really
 35:38 dark interior they themselves can light

 35:50 it turned the third one it is kind of
 35:51 good point of reference for where they
 35:53 are in that smart only will fear I don't

 36:27 won't be able to swim upriver - yeah

 39:08 loaded the terrain that you're ready
 39:10 kind of go in and just put in rocks
 39:13 until you've got a combination of like
 39:15 rock with terrain and it just comes
 39:18 together to give you this really that
