 0:07 you can see here I have a nicely white
 0:10 dressed star long dark star here who I
 0:13 believe you were in the dance party just
 0:14 a little bit ago I was I was dancing up
 0:17 around alarming you know it's crazy you
 0:19 know it started a little light but I
 0:21 mean you got there I swear everybody in
 0:23 the entire in Britannia came along for
 0:26 the ride it was the fireworks you know
 0:29 setting off the fireworks because I like
 0:31 to blow things up as as I as I do in the
 0:37 game and on the forum anything and you
 0:40 can do that because I am nothing except
 0:44 chaos well so I wore white today because
 0:48 you know I I got to get some reliable
 0:49 ornaments it's black there were white
 0:52 because I'm going to be a good guy
 0:56 well sing it I guess I had some
 0:58 community news button let's put that on
 1:00 hold because it you've got some really
 1:02 exciting stuff with the release 44 we
 1:04 just put out the weekly update number
 1:06 two three eight you can want to check it
 1:08 out on the front page of the website and
 1:10 you should have gotten an email at this
 1:12 point as well for it so star is going to
 1:15 talk a little bit about that all right
 1:17 yes so I'm back I didn't I missed you
 1:20 guys last week I was in where was I
 1:23 somewhere on the west coast of some can
 1:26 be a gue the City of Angels
 1:29 everyone knows that San Diego knew it
 1:32 was City of Angels and I was at
 1:34 comic-con and it was fabulous we had a
 1:37 great time
 1:39 oh we should share some of those
 1:40 pictures of Richard ayan in our costumes
 1:44 and they were a great excuse to go up to
 1:48 people and they would take her picture
 1:50 and then we would say any of you play
 1:52 video games and then we would hand them
 1:55 a little card that had a link to our
 1:56 website and talk about our free trial
 1:58 and lather rinse repeat and it was fun
 2:02 we had a great time and we gave our two
 2:04 panels and yeah you're a lot of a lot of
 2:05 people in cosplay there yeah and they
 2:09 think that have a good
 2:10 you guys saw in San Diego I had access
 2:15 to exploit my last opportunity oh and I
 2:18 got to even say that in the microphone
 2:21 in San Diego it was great
 2:25 alright my last chance you have met
 2:29 Marty it's not just comic-con you are
 2:31 going to be at oh yeah there's gonna be
 2:34 a whole bunch so yeah yeah we're going
 2:37 to be we just announced the review main
 2:40 track or Dragon Con where we're going to
 2:43 be on four different panels I'm going to
 2:48 be giving one of the opening talks where
 2:50 I'm going to be talking about sort of
 2:52 what the 10-year horizon is for
 2:54 technology for video games it's going to
 2:56 I've given a version of this before but
 2:59 it's really while they talk basically
 3:00 about how we're actually pretty closer
 3:03 than most people realize to a holodeck I
 3:05 know that seems crazy but like the
 3:07 holodeck like Star Trek politics yeah
 3:09 yeah it's actually way closer than
 3:11 people realize there's going to be Lord
 3:14 an hour with Lord British we have a
 3:16 shroud of the avatar presentation in Q&A
 3:18 and then I'm going to be on a panel
 3:20 about crowdfunding and that's just a
 3:21 video game track richard is also going
 3:24 to be talking on the space track he's on
 3:27 a panel about automatons because some
 3:33 people may not know that he has one of
 3:35 the world largest collections or Tom
 3:37 automata automaton an autumn art there's
 3:42 like a movie automatic I always said
 3:44 automata that nevermind means death and
 3:48 so that's very exciting so we're going
 3:50 to be a Dragon Con and literally be day
 3:53 before Dragon Con I'll be at packs tab
 3:55 where I'm going to give a talk about the
 3:58 evolution of crowdfunding where it's
 3:59 gone started with proud cuts we're
 4:01 saying all the way up to the latest
 4:02 which is about equity crowdfunding
 4:05 speaking of which feed invest which
 4:09 we're talking along but Tom's running
 4:12 out so if you're interested in being our
 4:15 boss as Richard likes to say go to the
 4:19 seed invest and check it out and think
 4:22 about investing in
 4:23 telling us what to do all right and
 4:27 speaking of what to do at least 44 with
 4:31 live yesterday so that is 44 releases in
 4:35 a row on time and we would tons of
 4:39 content in there we're story the biggest
 4:41 I think the biggest news out of that of
 4:43 course is that you can play the entire
 4:45 story now from beginning to end and get
 4:49 the dread artifacts and the shroud so
 4:53 you can Don the shroud of the avatar
 4:56 which includes Kulu text so we have
 4:58 something I know a lot of people have
 5:00 been wanting for a long time which is
 5:01 hooded cloaks so we now have hooded
 5:04 cloaks and so there's a bunch of new
 5:08 scenes there's a bunch of new gear the
 5:12 weak elven gear that's in the game now
 5:15 and more polish on Blood River outskirts
 5:19 and well seeking a Polish and speaking
 5:22 of drinking well not specifically dragon
 5:24 combi dragon
 5:26 oh yeah the Dragons the Dragons got
 5:27 polished for there's some news in the
 5:29 weekly update you'll see screenshots of
 5:31 those and you can encounter them in the
 5:34 encounters they were previously and plus
 5:37 a new random encounter where the stags
 5:41 in the overworld you have a random
 5:44 chance a fee the stags
 5:47 you might encounter an obsidian stag or
 5:49 maybe even a dragon so you'll see the
 5:54 dragon polish we had previously with the
 5:57 Dragons
 5:57 we had just done this real quick
 6:00 programmer art basically where we take
 6:02 in our dragons and done a color pass on
 6:06 them so this resulted in this really
 6:08 just sort of monochromatic sort of neon
 6:10 color to them if you've ever if you'd
 6:13 ever encountered the three sisters they
 6:15 were sort of this neon green blue and
 6:17 yellow
 6:17 now they all the all the color tinted
 6:21 Dragons are much more realistic and
 6:23 their colors they look way better they
 6:25 look just like real dragon type it yes
 6:28 real dragons because everyone knows that
 6:31 dragons are real okay
 6:35 so lots of 100 and granite colossus
 6:40 that's that's so we been curly over the
 6:43 live stuff you release has been putting
 6:45 in the colossus scenes which are all
 6:47 part of the final path so there's three
 6:50 virtual paths truth love and courage and
 6:53 then once you complete all three of
 6:54 those then there is the path of the
 6:56 oracle that's the fourth and final path
 7:00 and that includes these pivotal scenes
 7:02 which are the scenes of the colossi and
 7:06 there's a colossus for each as i seeing
 7:09 for each colossus some truth love and
 7:12 courage and there's a colossus of the
 7:14 oracle and those are all part of this
 7:16 path of the oracle well the missing
 7:19 Colossus we had was the grandest
 7:21 Colossus and that's the Colossus of
 7:26 courage and so that scene which is all
 7:28 about showing your courage so as you can
 7:31 imagine there's lots of fighting in that
 7:33 scene you guys are going to see that
 7:35 later in this livestream so stay tuned
 7:37 for that and that's a that seems pretty
 7:39 amazing and there's cannibals and
 7:42 there's pretty cool manager that is
 7:44 pretty excited about because you know of
 7:45 course he wants candle ism all of that
 7:49 is in this update which if you haven't
 7:51 read the release instructions for
 7:53 released 44 they're pretty amazing and
 7:56 it's a really good illustration of what
 7:59 Richard really talks about which is this
 8:02 sort of last 20% of development is kind
 8:06 of where 80% of the effort goes into and
 8:09 it's really where the game where the the
 8:13 feeling of the game that we want to
 8:15 create really starts to happen and if
 8:19 you're not feeling it yet that's okay
 8:21 because it's not really until now that
 8:25 we really get to the part where we start
 8:27 creating the feeling that we that we
 8:29 want you to have and so it's not really
 8:31 until honestly this release and the next
 8:34 one's coming up that you'll start to get
 8:37 that feeling so but it's getting there
 8:39 and so as part of that as we are getting
 8:44 closer to our commercial launch which we
 8:47 hope
 8:47 at the end of the year we are going to
 8:50 be making some changes and one of those
 8:52 policy changes that we announced this
 8:55 this week we announced a couple policy
 8:58 changes one is you know we've been doing
 9:00 these sort of mega telephones on the
 9:02 quarter and at the same time we've been
 9:04 doing these monthly post mortems of each
 9:06 release and we kind of just we've
 9:10 decided to do a little bit of an
 9:11 experiment where we're going to come
 9:12 mash those up so that instead of waiting
 9:15 to do a telethon once a quarter that's
 9:19 really extended takes a lot of time and
 9:22 we're in and by the end of them we kind
 9:24 of get got very focused and and a little
 9:29 era by the end whereas the last telethon
 9:33 we did Lord British Berkeley telethon we
 9:36 were we were really tight it was only
 9:39 six hours long
 9:40 we spent 90% of the time answering
 9:43 questions much less shenanigans we
 9:46 really really focused on just answering
 9:49 questions and being really engaged and
 9:51 we and we discussed it internally we
 9:54 said hey why don't we just do that more
 9:58 of that and do it more often versus
 10:00 waiting once a quarter and but don't
 10:03 spend as much time and be much more
 10:05 tighter so what we're going to do is
 10:06 we're going to do monthly telephones
 10:07 that are for hours that are that still
 10:11 have a little bit of shenanigans that's
 10:13 okay we'll still do a little bit of
 10:14 those and I still give away prizes and I
 10:17 will still do the sales but we're gonna
 10:18 do them in four hour increments that way
 10:20 we don't get tired and and long but in
 10:23 you know we'll and we'll say we're
 10:25 focused and we'll really get to your
 10:27 answer your questions and we'll do it at
 10:29 a higher frequency and so that's that
 10:31 way also the questions will be much more
 10:33 fresh much more relevant to what's
 10:35 happening with the game right now like
 10:36 we do in our post-mortem and give them
 10:38 the other thing too is we felt like the
 10:40 post-mortems always felt rushed we
 10:43 always felt like we were ending them
 10:45 before we really got to answering a
 10:49 critical mass of question and so we'd be
 10:53 like by extending the post-mortems
 10:54 that's going to make them feel a more
 10:58 relevant give to more critical mass of
 11:01 answers so that's why we made that
 11:03 polity change and even if you don't get
 11:04 a chance to watch them during up the
 11:06 post-mortem tells on the mini tells now
 11:09 will happen on YouTube everything will
 11:11 be recorded yeah and the other the other
 11:14 change we did as part of that is since
 11:17 they're going to be shorter we're good
 11:18 we're still going to give a big 12 hour
 11:20 window where you can donate to the
 11:24 telethon so you can be eligible for the
 11:26 stretch goals okay so that was one big
 11:29 policy change another big policy change
 11:31 is previously the QA server was only
 11:35 open to our deaf plus and above members
 11:39 and those were people who either
 11:41 purchase a pledge at the develop at the
 11:45 developer level or above these were the
 11:48 original Kickstarter pledges that have
 11:50 since now expired or bundles that
 11:52 included developer plus forum access and
 11:58 so this was just a policy that we had it
 12:00 wasn't actually part of the purchase but
 12:02 with a policy that we had enacted and
 12:05 that led to what we felt and some other
 12:09 players felt as well as some unfair
 12:11 advantage people were getting access to
 12:13 some economic information some gameplay
 12:16 information that allowed them to gain an
 12:20 advantage that we just didn't feel was
 12:22 fair to the player base of the whole the
 12:27 other thing that we were observing was
 12:29 that while we weren't getting some great
 12:33 bug reports we just needed more more
 12:38 eyes and more consistent participation
 12:42 on the QA server so what we did what we
 12:45 decided to do was we decided to open up
 12:47 the QA server to everyone starting with
 12:49 release 45 so every backer every paid
 12:53 backer regardless of level starting with
 12:56 release 45 will have access to the QA
 12:58 server
 12:59 and we understand that for those dev
 13:04 Plus members who had that as exclusive
 13:07 access that you know that that felt like
 13:11 something being taken away
 13:12 we totally understand that frustration
 13:13 but we believe that for the health of
 13:16 the product is it really the best
 13:17 decision and we very much apologize for
 13:21 the fact that it allowed some people to
 13:24 gain advantage that was totally our
 13:26 fault we very much we were very very
 13:30 sorry that it was completely our
 13:31 responsibility we're also very sorry for
 13:33 those who are losing that exclusive
 13:36 access we're also very very sorry but
 13:42 one of the things we are going to bring
 13:45 back for our deaf Plus members which
 13:48 makes which accurately is a program that
 13:50 expired when the developer pledge went
 13:53 away is the asset pact program and what
 13:56 that is is a program where periodically
 13:59 we'll take art assets original art
 14:02 assets that we created for the game and
 14:05 we will put those up for download for
 14:08 our deaf Plus numbers too and Nate will
 14:11 get a mutually non-exclusive license and
 14:14 they're able to use those assets however
 14:16 they wish they won't use them in their
 14:17 game they want to use them to do however
 14:20 they wish they can do that and so we
 14:23 reinstated that program we uploaded a
 14:25 bunch of files including like all the
 14:28 Obsidian Kabbalists weapon Pantha the
 14:31 wealthy merchant outfit pair of bellows
 14:33 armor and a whole bunch of other stuff
 14:36 plus all the original asset packs we
 14:39 uploaded all of those put those in depth
 14:41 plus we mount that this morning that's
 14:43 also listed in the weekly update as well
 14:45 so a bunch of policy changes I know that
 14:49 the lots of z' work but again we think
 14:51 that all these are for the best help of
 14:54 the product and big thank you to our
 14:56 Delta Plus community they've done a ton
 14:59 obviously they've been a huge economic
 15:02 benefit for the project
 15:05 they've given us tons and tons of
 15:07 amazing feedback and guidance for the
 15:09 project and a big THANK YOU to them this
 15:13 reinstating asset program is a big way
 15:16 for us to say thank you to them and then
 15:19 opening up the QA server again is what
 15:21 we think is best for the project
 15:24 a couple of other announcements and then
 15:27 I will let you guys get to what you're
 15:31 hopefully here for and stop listening to
 15:33 me prattle on which is pre trial test so
 15:38 we part of today's update is we announce
 15:41 our next free trials so we're going to
 15:43 again we're going to keep testing the
 15:45 system because we really want to be
 15:46 rock-solid for when we go out to launch
 15:49 it's going to start August 9th and one
 15:51 through the 30th so another three week
 15:53 time frame and we have a couple of cool
 16:00 news things one of the things that San
 16:02 Diego comic-con one of the interviews
 16:05 went live this week with a gaming gang
 16:08 and then there was an article in the
 16:09 Austin Chronicle which is right after
 16:12 this I'm going to be going to see it so
 16:14 I get to see it for the first time
 16:15 myself which is the Texas History Museum
 16:19 has a video game exhibit that's going to
 16:21 run through March of next year that
 16:23 covers the entire history of video games
 16:27 starting with pong all the way to the
 16:29 present which we donated several of our
 16:34 artifacts from our office to including
 16:36 Richard's original Apple two that he
 16:38 wrote his very first computer game on
 16:42 and actually it's one of the very first
 16:44 computer role-playing games ever and
 16:45 it's actually going to be running the
 16:47 game in the exhibit it's pretty cool so
 16:50 that starts tomorrow that I did it and a
 16:54 reminder of that origin PC is running a
 16:57 promo free copier shroud that goes in
 17:00 their bundle and think of that's
 17:04 everything and that's all that end this
 17:07 end of this monkey this one yeah yeah oh
 17:09 yeah so this is the last weekend get it
 17:11 and I see one question that come up in
 17:13 came up and chat about physical rewards
 17:16 physical rewards we've answered this a
 17:18 few times but I'm happy to answer here
 17:20 again on air physical rewards will go
 17:23 out at the time of launch and the reason
 17:24 we are holding those are there are
 17:27 multiple reasons one of the main reasons
 17:29 is one of the biggest physical rewards
 17:30 is the quad map and
 17:32 and we we have made several changes to
 17:36 the clock to the map itself the biggest
 17:38 ones have been of course we just
 17:41 recently added three new major scenes
 17:43 which are the outskirts maps and we want
 17:45 to make sure the cloth map isn't
 17:47 accurate and so we have been holding
 17:50 sending out physical goods until as
 17:52 close to launch as possible and so again
 17:57 we have said this repeatedly and we will
 17:59 put we order we are happy to keep saying
 18:01 it we will be sending out the physical
 18:04 goods when we do commercial launch and
 18:07 we plan on announcing an official
 18:10 commercial launch date next quarter and
 18:14 again super time time thank you thank

 18:20 crowdfunded project without your
 18:23 contributions I would not be here
 18:25 talking to you today you would not be
 18:27 enjoying and playing the game that you

 19:16 that that they're going to tour in the
 19:18 game we're gonna go right into the game
 19:19 I think guys is not right we're not
 19:21 going to mess around with unity this
 19:22 time and so while I Pratt a line
 19:26 starting with some prizes I think we
 19:27 haven't done that yet let's do some
 19:29 prizes you go ahead and close the door

 20:51 we just updated the store item a couple
 20:53 of hours ago with some additional
 20:55 screenshots to show that quiver on the
 20:58 back looks really really good we don't
 20:59 know it's cool so we're gonna get yeah

 22:43 to know when our videos are being
 22:45 uploaded trailers livestream posts more

 22:59 usual the upcoming events calendar
 23:01 forever the same spot I should say but
 23:04 always change me within that spot on the

 23:08 drop down music calendar that not only
 23:12 has our official events that are coming
 23:14 out like well community events as well
 23:17 but the ones that we are going to are at
 23:19 the top so I don't want to say so
 23:21 economists as an official quarterly
 23:22 event
 23:23 community-driven events but it is at the
 23:25 top because we're going to we're going
 23:26 to be at that because it's in Austin on
 23:29 October 13th suspicious that so excited
 23:31 about this one mainly because it's
 23:32 enough and we don't you're going to be
 23:36 is there going to be their title is
 23:37 gonna be we're gonna be giving like I
 23:39 said I think we're going to have several
 23:41 busy steps present going to be made let
 23:45 us know if that I guess the music is not
 23:48 yeah it sounds a little bit weird but
 23:49 look at that Pinker right now it looks
 23:52 like it's very lovely music though
 23:54 so additionally besides the events
 23:57 happening here in Austin there's a bunch
 23:59 of others that are kicking off Mad
 24:01 Hatter as an event and there's lots of
 24:03 in-game events as well like just if you
 24:05 were at the dance party a good example
 24:08 of one event that's in the game we also
 24:10 have in the game the July's well
 24:13 the writing contest kind of been the
 24:16 game RRP OTA comm role-players of new
 24:23 britannia basically and they are these
 24:26 guys run a monthly contest brain contest
 24:30 so if you like the pen then go ahead and
 24:33 write something for them it's very much
 24:34 a lot of fun I've participated a couple
 24:37 times actually my writing wasn't as good
 24:40 as two communities but yeah that's okay
 24:43 alright what else we got here we we've
 24:46 got the speaking of contests and events
 24:50 community trailer contest we've got a
 24:52 few more weeks on the community trailer
 24:53 contest check it out it's we haven't had
 24:57 any entries just yet because everybody's
 25:00 asking questions about like well you
 25:02 know we need music we need this we need
 25:03 that if you need a specific music piece
 25:06 like you're walking through a beautiful
 25:07 scene in the game and you're like oh I
 25:09 use that for my trailer just let us know
 25:11 and we can give you a version of it we
 25:14 just can't like there's no way to give
 25:16 you the entire like soundtrack on milk
 25:19 on mass but if you need something and
 25:22 you're really wanting to develop a
 25:24 trailer and the music is the only thing
 25:25 that's holding you back please feel free

 26:08 favorite is a community stuff of course
 26:09 as always so other than that I think
 26:12 I'll stop on new to give away that
 26:14 exclamation and we have people typing
 26:17 it's funny our you know we have one
 26:18 person type explanation some some other
 26:20 whatever and then everybody else follows
 26:23 suit we're a little premature on the
 26:26 Archer item we are given away the ornate
 26:28 gazebo at the moment so was exclamation

 26:35 going to give you guys another 10
