Editing Bleed Effect

A bleed effect is a ''physical'' attack that punctures, tears, or cuts in a manner that results in persistent bleeding. The persistent bleeding causes physical damage-over-time. [[Poison]] damage-over-time and Magical damage-over-time (such as fire damage) are not considered bleed effects.

Bleed Effects do zero damage to almost all [[Undead]] (but some boss Liches and mini-boss Liches are susceptible to bleed effects).

* [[Hamstring]] (a [[Combos|Combination]] skill)

* [[Spinning Attack]] - bleed effect only inflicted by players with [[Polearm Specialization]]

==Avatar Skills that Cancel a Bleed Effect==
The skills below will cancel a damage-over-time effect, but will <span style="color:red">not</span> cancel any non-damage debuff that was applied with the Bleed Effect. For example, rend will apply a damage-over-time and a [[Healing Modifier]] debuff, but the skills below will remove only the damage-over-time, and not the [[Healing Modifier]] debuff.
* [[Knight's Grace]] - removes multiple bleed effects.
* [[Healing Grace]] - removes one bleed effect.
* [[Passive Stance]] - removes one bleed effect.

Note: Skills that do <span style="color:red">not</span> remove a bleed effect include: [[Purify]], [[Purify Burst]], [[Healing Ray]], [[Healing Touch]], [[Healing Burst]], [[Healing Blast]], [[Douse]], [[Cocoon of Night]], [[Soothing Rain]].

Creatures that have a Bleed Effect attack include:
* Big [[Cat]]s have a "Claw Rend Attack" that is a form of [[Rend]].
* [[Clockwork Attack Cat]]s have a "Bleeding" attack from their claws that is a form of [[Rend]].
* [[Boar]] have a "[[Rend]]" attack inflicted by their tusks.
* Sword wielders can have a rend attack (such as [[Obsidian Elf Warrior]])
