==Recovering a Pattern that has been Applied to an Item==
* Consumed Pattern - these patterns cannot be recovered from an item because the pattern document was permanently destroyed when it was applied to the item.  Therefore, salvaging the item or using a Pattern Remover will not yield a pattern. 
* Eternal Pattern - these can be recovered from by either of the following methods:
**Salvage the item - this will yield the pattern document, but it will destroy the item itself.
**Use a Pattern Remover - this will yield the pattern document, and it will preserve the item itself (i.e. it will not destroy it).
