* In designing the Quel Shardfall we wanted to illustrate the idea that a recent catastrophic event had just occurred, it is this idea that differentiates this shardfall from all the others. The sky has grown dark, lightning storms rage around the impact site, pieces of obsidian float as though the exact moment of the meteoric collision has been suspended in time, and colorful gases and flames cover the crater. This is an area that is very much hazardous… (source needed)
