==Returning an Item with a Pattern to its Original Appearance (Removing a Pattern)==
Patterns can be removed from an item (without destructively salvaging the item) by using the [[Reshape Pattern Remover]] recipe with a [[Pattern Remover]] at the appropriate crafting station for the item. The recipes for pattern removal are already in your recipe book when you start the game.
* Consumed Patterns - Removing a consumed pattern will make the item revert to its original appearance, but the pattern document is not recovered (i.e. the pattern document was permanently destroyed when it was applied).
* Eternal Patterns - Removing the pattern will make the item revert to its original appearance, and the pattern document is recovered (i.e. the pattern is always preserved upon removal).
