The ruins of '''Midras''' lie in south-central [[Midmaer]]. It was formerly the greatest city-state in the region, and its innermost walls and columns predated [[Cataclysm|the Fall]]. During the events depicted in ''[[Blade of the Avatar]]'', the [[Obsidian Army]] conquered the city of Midras, leaving it in ruins.

Midras was ruled by a Priestess. Her lesser [[Priestess of Midras|priestesses]] and the [[Guardians of Midras]] helped protect the city.

The teachings of the Priestess were credited with bringing peace and prosperity to the Midmaer region, until the city was conquered by the [[Obsidian Empire]].

At the center of the city is an ancient Temple in a circular paved plaza, surrounding a small garden and mighty tree. The temple likely predated the Fall, and contained an [[Avatar Tomb]].
