==Custom Formatting==
You can add custom formatting when you create a custom book using the “Import Text” feature. (You cannot add custom formatting when writing a book using the in-game text editor).


Custom formatting includes bold, italicized, underlined, and colored text.


To add custom formatting in your text file, you’ll need to use special tags at the start and end of the text that requires custom formatting. Custom tags and examples of how to use them are below.


Bold: Use a “[b]” tag at the start of the strong statement and “[/b]” at the end.
Example: [b]This text will be bold.[/b] This will not.
Italics: Use an “[i]” tag at the start of the emphasized text and “[/i]” at the end.
Example: [i]This text will be italicized.[/i]  This will not.
Underline: Use a “[u]” tag at the start of the underlined phrase and “[/u]” at the end.
Example: [u]This text will be underlined.[/u] This will not.
Colors: Use a “[000000]” tag at the start of the phrase and “[-]” at the end, but replace the numbers with the one that represents the color you want. (See below for example color codes.)
Example: [ff0000]This text will be red.[-] This text will be default color.

Colors are defined with a 6-character hex color code. You can go to a site like https://htmlcolorcodes.com/ to find the perfect color code for you, but some examples are below.


*Magenta: ff00ff
*Red: ff0000
*Orange: ff6600
*Yellow: ffff00
*Green: 00ff00
*Cyan: 00ffff
*Blue: 0000ff
*Purple: 6600ff
*Black: 000000
*Gray: 666666
*White: ffffff
*Brown: 663300

You can even combine several tags. For example, if you want a bit of text to be bold and italic, you can [b][i]do something like this![/i][/b] However, if you do so, make sure to properly wrap your tags so that each additional set of custom tags is fully inside the other (as shown in the example).<ref>[https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/playerinstructions Player Instructions]</ref>
