==Using Poison on Your Foes== In this game, poison is applied to the weapon in the Avatar's Main Hand (i.e. for dual wield, it will not apply poison to the Off Hand weapon, so Offhand Attack will not apply poison on the enemy). While the poison is active on the Avatar's weapon, each attack that hits the enemy will inflict the poison upon the enemy. Poisoning an enemy can occur when using any weapon attack skill in the Blades, Bludgeon, Polearms, and Ranged trees, and with Sneak Attack in the Subterfuge Skills tree. As stated earlier, Offhand Attack does not apply poison to the enemy. In order for the Avatar to inflict Poison against foes, the following criteria must be met: * The Avatar must learn the Poison Weapon skill in the Subterfuge Skills tree. * The Poison must be in the Avatar's inventory. * The Avatar must apply the poison to their weapon (see below). * While the poison is active on the weapon, the avatar must land an attack that uses the weapon equipped in the Main Hand. Poison can applied to your weapon by either of the following methods: * Drag the poison stack from your inventory and drop it onto your Utility Bar. Then, click on the Poison icon in the utility bar to apply the poison to your weapon. * Right click on the poison in your inventory and select "use item". Note that there are 2 duration stats that are relevant to each poison: * Duration that the poison is "active" on your weapon - this duration is how long your weapon will be capable of applying the poison to an enemy, and is determined by the level of your Poison Weapon Skill. After you apply the poison to your weapon, a yellow skull/crossbones/dagger icon will show under your Avatar's health bar. When you hover your mouse over the icon, the pop-up window shows the name of the poison that you have applied to your weapon, and the amount of time that the potion will remain active on your weapon (in seconds). The icon also has a sweeping grey timer that lets you know the approximate duration remaining. (Note: potions have a default "Duration: 20 seconds" in their tool tip info, which is incorrect. If you put the poison in your Utility Bar, and then hover your mouse over the icon in your Utility Bar, the tool tip info will be correct, with the "Duration" stat reflecting the how long the poison will be active on your weapon). * Duration of the poison's effect on the enemy after the enemy is poisoned (if the poison has an effect over time) - this is determined by the effects of the particular poison used. The duration is the time shown next to the effect, such as "1-3 Poison Damage every 3 seconds for 15 seconds"). When a poisoned weapon successfully applies poison effect over time, a yellow skull/crossbones/dagger icon will appear under the enemy's health bar. When you hover your mouse over the icon, the pop-up window shows the name of the poison that you have applied to your enemy, and the amount of time that the poison will continue to effect the enemy (in seconds). The icon also has a sweeping grey timer that lets you know the approximate duration remaining. For poisons that have damage/debuff over time, the damage/debuff over time effects will stack a maximum of 3 times (i.e. if the poison is active on your weapon, and you hit the enemy 3 times in a row, then 3 simultaneous debuff/damage-over-time effects will be inflicted on the enemy). Also, you can have multiple poison types applied on an enemy at the same time (so, each party member in a group apply a different poison on a boss). ===Creatures Immune to Poison=== ::See Poison Damage. ===Methods to Increase/Decrease Your Poison Effectiveness=== ::See Poison Effectiveness Bonus. ===Types of Poison=== ::Nightshade cannot be used to poison enemies (i.e. it cannot be applied to your weapon), but if you eat Nightshade it will inflict 10 points of Poison Damage on your avatar. ::{{#ask: has pagename::~Poison?Potion* |mainlabel=- |?has icon=Icon |?has pagename |?has subpage |?has itemname |?has bonus1 |?has bonus1 name |?has bonus1type |?Has bonus1 duration |?has bonus2 |?has bonus2 name |?has bonus2type |?Has bonus2 duration |?has bonus3 |?has bonus3 name |?has bonus3type |?Has bonus3 duration |?has bonus4 |?has bonus4 name |?has bonus4type |?Has bonus4 duration |?has bonus5 |?has bonus5 name |?has bonus5type |?Has bonus5 duration |?has bonus6 |?has bonus6 name |?has bonus6type |?Has bonus6 duration |sort=, |format=template |template=Query item variation table |introtemplate=Query item variation table intro notitle |outrotemplate=Query table outro |default=
Variations
There are currently no known variations of {}. |link=none }}
